Guys,

Where I come from, men don't show their underwear to other men, be they boxers, briefs, or "other." For that fact, I am grateful.

And if you try to stop it, then you run into the problem of verification. Who is charged with the task of inspecting the brothers' drawers?

I think we should take a cue from the US military and institute a policy of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." If any of our brothers (God forbid) choose to live an alternative undergarment lifestyle, I'd personally rather not know about it.

If he does it and chooses to reveal that fact to the fraternity: swift justice, carried out on the spot.

I'm not gonna lie - we had an "RP Thong" that the head honcho
wore. It's going to be passed down year to year (and washed hopefully). It wasn't so much worn as a form of erotica, it was more used for SCARE
tactics. Ya know..."know your lines or you're gonna see the RP Thong."

God forbid we have visitors...they were definitely in for a shock...

It's never been a fear of seeing another mans ass. We had one large group shower at Gamma Zeta, and there have been numerous incidents of nudity around the house that I won't go into.

I think it is more of the fear of the intent behind another guy wearing a thong that freaks me out. If a guy is willing to wear a thong, there are no limits to the sick and twisted thoughts that must be going on in his head.

I see why that town loves you Greek's so much.

GammaZeta 05-25-2007 11:05 PM

Oh no, the town is VERY tolerant when it comes to anything to do with alternative or liberal lifestyles. Nudity was the LAST of their concerns.

This is a town where the high school cancelled their annual play for the year "West Side Story" because of fears it was too racist, and replaced it with "The Vagina Monologues".

I retract my statement. Perhaps you all should follow your own advice then. Host the nude olympics or something, or Vegan fest. If they try and shut you down, call them conservative. If you really want to mess with them, tell them that they aren't progressive.

GammaZeta 05-26-2007 08:58 AM

Dever, NOW you are thinking like a Pioneer Valley Progressive/Liberal.

If we ever opened up as a vegan/environmentally friendly/anti-American/tolerant of all/anti-Republican/anti-religion fraternity and gave out free hummus, we would have 10,000 members at the GZ chapter.

I have so many stories to tell about Amherst/Northampton. I love how they fly the United Nations flag on the town commons OVER the American flag. Or how the selectboard has voted to ban the display of the american flag on any lamp pole, telephone pole, etc.

These towns are beyond "progressive". They make San Francisco look like Texas.

Forgot about the humus...

You could always change the the cross and crescent to a sickle and hammer.... I feel dirty just thinking about that.

By the way, really slow week on ebay.... Nothing new or in my price range...

Does anyone know who the official retailer of our Flag is? Ive looked and have never found anyone who actually sells the real one. Ive seen several places that will make the generic L X A flag, but not the real thing.

Thanks.

John, got mine direct from IHQ.

They offered 3 sizes. I got the middle size. They are not cheap though.

Been a while several years. But you may check with them!

JonoBN41 05-26-2007 06:00 PM

Yes, Tom is right, you can order flags from IHQ. The largest is 5' X 8''. Of course, I got the BIG one! :) I think is was around $200. There ya go Dever - you don't need ebay.

Ok I found something cool:

Delta Sigma Phi: Crest
http://cgi.ebay.com/DELTA-SIGMA-PHI-...QQcmdZViewItem
I guess they used to exist at OSU, but not anymore...?

Now if only one of ours would show up somewhere...

Tom Earp 05-29-2007 04:32 PM

Very nice!

You should see the Original Brass C of A that I have seen.

Designed by a Brother from KSU, Ks. and I have seen the ones at UM, KU., KSU (Ks) and William-Jewell and IHQ.

As I understand, George Spaysk and Il. StUn. has one.

I have many C of A from different sources: Tx. Wes Un., Jono, Stained Glass, and a Wood from a Brother in Fl.

I want a Wooden and Bronze one if I can find One/Both!

Our C of A is Beautiful as no other!:D

Any thoughts on this? I went ahead and bought it just because it looks really cool, regardless if it is actually a Lambda Chi ALPHA Pin or not.

In reality I didn't want to get me hopes up that this is a ancient treasure of sorts. It doesn't have the correct number of pearls obviously, and you would have to use your imagination to determine whether an 'A' exists. The seller mentions that it might have been a high school pin, and it immediately reminds me of the Little College Asses story. Who knows? I contacted the seller to find out if he could provide any more information about where it came from.

Regardless it will be a cool treasure to add to the collection.

Would be a geat Pin for LX Z!:D

No, do not feel it will be a hidden LXA Treasure!:(
