I read that in 10th grade....I never knew there was a movie

Hmmm....if I'd known that, maybe I would've actually made it to the end and found out what happened when Hilde finished the book....can you PM it to me???

Personally I cry sometimes, a little more often than nessecary. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Roll Bounce made me cry.

I would have to say The Persuit of Happyness...The trials he went through and on top of that, take care of his son...amazing individual. I cry every time. I'm scared to go buy the dvd, I know I'll cry but I won't be able to stop watching it.

A guy took me to see that for a date....I don't cry at movies, so when HE cried, that was almost it for us. I'm all for a strong black man being able to show vulnerability, but all I could think was "If you don't suck that up...":(

Okay this isn't a movie, but I've seen the episode of ER when Dr Greene dies like 5 times now and everytime I bawl my eyes out.

I don't know if the book and the movie end in the same way... But yes, it was a movie with Meryl Streep and I believe it won a ton of Oscars. Rent it!

I always cry at the Designing Women episode where Reva from Guiding Light is Charlene's cousin and runs away from her abusive husband. Yipe, I have chills just thinking about it.

I know I said I don't cry at films, but there were two exceptions: The last episode of Boy Meets World and the last epidsode of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Something about families and friends splitting up, possibly forever...When I see these episodes rerun, all I can think about is how many people I've had to say good-bye to!! Gets me everytime (especially now--graduation time;) ).

The only Sophie's Choice I know of is the novel by William Styron. (Also here at the Wiki.) That's the book that the Meryl Streep movie is based on.
