Agreed. My neighborhood back home is alot like that. All of the families are very close, have grown up together, very upscale and traditional....its pretty much a little bubble. We used to do things like you were mentioning all of the time......and espcecially now because I have little sisters. I don't think it is inappropriate at all to take pictures of the kids......most all of the families have kids themselves. |

While I can see how a in a close knit neighborhood it is LESS creepy, it's still odd. And if I didn't know your house and was bringing my kids by I'd say hell no and walk the other way.
But apparently I'm a sheep so whatever. We are officially handing out M&Ms, 3 Musketeers, Snickers, Milky Ways, Skittles and Starburst (All Fun Size). Yay Trick or Treaters! /Baaaaaaaa |

I just love how I get lumped into a group with such wonderful people--I feel special! YAY for me! lol. (ok, i'm not being sarcastic, i'm actually glad! lol) I'm sorry I'll always find someone who takes pictures of children--"just because"--creepy. If I was to bring my children to your door, and you wanted to take a picture of them, i'd say no...plain and simple. Don't come to this board...talk about your fascination w/talking pictures of little children, and then get upset when we say its "creepy." What else would we say? You know that you are not well liked on this board---it really is NO secret--so its not like we are going to be supportive of it. |

I loved peanut butter cups and Mr. Goodbars when I was a kid - the really hard candies with the bee on the wrapper were my least favorite. |

In all seriousness, I grew up in a neighborhood where everyone had known each other since birth, and even there, if someone would have whipped out a camera and taken pics of me and every other kid that came to the house, my mom would have run fast, run far. It's one thing IF THE KIDS ARE IN A PHOTO WITH YOUR KID. To just take solo photos of them...let alone have a special photo binder for it...yipes. |

I'm also sorry that you have your self-worth tied up into whether or not you win a popularity contest on an internet message board. That is incredibly unfortunate. |

I'm not commenting anymore on the subject since Alfa wanted to take, YET ANOTHER thread and turn it into a train wreck b/c she was dateless. |
If you're going to be called a sheep, might as well be with the best herd around
epchick, I promise.. no matter how much you disagree with me, I will never target you. you get an amnesty ticket *Admit One* And Alfalfafrog, I bet Hickey'll date you! So my question for all you former and current trick or treaters is, did you ever trick? And why? (Bad candy? porch lights off? Any reason? |

PS...since you're so desperate to be Greek, step #1 would be to learn the first letter of the Greek Alphabet: A-L-P-H-A |
I've never been a big candy person, so I basically ate the Snicker's, M & Ms, bubble gum, and gave the rest to my sisters. My mom LOVES Tootsie Rolls, and would always take them from me.
My favorite treat, though, were Pixie Sticks! |
