I think they used immigration rules (probably entering Thailand with a warrant for your arrest is against their rules) so that they didn't have to actually extradite him. Thus he wasn't actually under arrest (techincally) until he landed in CA. Now, if there wasn't a federal agent sitting next to him, I'd be floored.

On the news last night, they said that they treated him so well on the flight because they wanted him to talk. Interesting.

More information, especially if they doubt the "accuracy" of his confession.

Yeah, even if they thought he was telling the truth, you can't be convicted on confession alone. He needs to tell them things that "only the killer could know" or have his handwriting matched to the note, that sort of thing.

I do wonder if they're thinking that the parents could still have been involved and are wanting him to answer questions about that too.

I've heard of that kind of thing working.

I read once about a Nazi interagator who got a lot of information out of POW's by befriending them instead of brutal tactics.

After the war, some of the former prisoners he questioned sponsored him for US Citizenship.

Didn't he already give them "details only the killer could know"?

And I would think that the handwriting thing could be done using old documents.

I'm just pissed that he got a better flight then most normal people.

So maybe I wasn't paying attention and missed this, but WHY HAS HE KEPT SAYING HE ACCIDENTLY KILLED HER?

Why would he say that if he knew his DNA wouldn't match? Did he plant someone else's DNA?

What's going on???

News Flash:
Case was dropped today due to lack of evidence.
This is not a joke-DA dropped case.
Most likley will be sent to CA to face outstanding charges there.
