Regarding jumpers: the denim one I bought at The Gap back in the late 90s, and it has darts to fit the hourglass figure of an adult. I have seen many other grown-up women wearing it. In fact, a fellow teacher at a school where I taught was wearing a similar one once. It is notthing like the one in the picture- now that one is cut for little girls. This one allows plenty of room for curves and for showing off a slim waist.
And I did get the cute sandals- but my church's AC is powerful and I do sniffle. I will wear them for special occassions. Regarding jumpsuits- HOPEFULLY they went away with the 80s. Bad memories of having had to wear them. I did see overalls in my APO female brothers back in the 90s. But in this millenium, I have only seen them on little boys. And that is a good thing. |

I too had such a jumper, in a really nice plaid. It was cute and in style in 1995 or 1996 when I bought it. No matter how it is cut, JUMPERS should NOT be worn. They are so horrible out of style it's not even funny. And a DENIM jumper???? I know a lot of teachers who dress very, very badly. Actually, I do remember a lot of teachers wearing rather unflattering jumpers... it was like a teacher's uniform or something. |

Well, I have read in more than one current fashion magazine that jumpers are coming back to style. And I do have a plaid dirndl style jumper (with darts, of course) that my mother made for me that I sometimes wear- but never to work on a weekday.
I did get rid of most of my other jumpers when I became a professional. I only kept those two. In my secondary school, everyone talked about which teachers dressed badly and which teachers had wardrobes you wanted to raid. |

Probably the same ones that are pushing leggings. |

Particularly ones made out of denim. And plaid anything hasn't been in style for quite awhile. |

The last person to pull off plaid is now pregnant with Child #2. <Insert "Oops She Did It Again" joke here.> |

They were not plaid or denim. It was a solid black jumper that was shown.
I think it was the InStyle magazine. The fashion edition IIRC. I'll look it up tomorrow at work. |

Also, I won't lie. I wear flip-flops everywhere. Yes, even to work. In fact, I'm wearing a pair now. |

Denim jumpers make me think of a good TV show, though. http://www.jimbob.info/images/2002family__duggar.jpg |
