A big shout out to all BGLO, D9 or otherwise.....you are all my sisters and brothers to me.

My father is named Aaron and my mother is named Mary.

And at the end of the day, it is just an organization that you belong to. If someone wants to wear a shirt that says I am your father/mother, let them. You know they are not, and if they don't, then it is on them to learn THEIR organizational history and their own mental history.

I-O-T-A.....ALL DAY....EVERY DAY!!!!

MY BROTHER MARQUISE1911: GREAT POST.

Of course! But the fact remains I made the offer to SKEE. But as she requested I will not contact her.

The Sorors were Neos. That was one of their first projects as members. They were trying to do a good thing, and earn a few $$$. I do believe a few of those shirts are still up for sale. I believe most sorors from our chapter ended up buying them.

I think this was a great post to get people conversating. However, I believe as a rule of thumb that *simple people do simple things*. Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason why. It is not what a person is called, but what they respond to. So if somebody chooses to call them Mother/Father then that's on them.

Our UGs (as a fundraiser) had a black shirt with white writing. On the front it has all of the Greek Alphabet in a design. The back says..."No matter the letters...it's all Greek to me". They are at a PWI, but they didn't sell that many.

:(

That's too bad, because I think that was a wonderful idea.

Small minds discuss people, great minds discuss ideas......

KAPPAtivating 04-26-2006 12:05 PM

The reason I used the word conversating is because the initial question was posed to see if this is happening anywhere else. Discussion on any topic is healthy; minus the sidebar comments of others. If you don't know...then ask...that's the only way to get an answer. The problem occurs when people take things too seriously and make unecessary comments to others.
