No wonder the topics in this forum are so dry and unappealing. You know what? I've made up my mind about this site. This site isn't worth my time if this is the treatment one will recieve. Thanks for showing me your true colors early in the game. [/QUOTE] Professor pulled your card and now you are running like the biotch that you are. You look and sound super perpish. Thanks for showing us YOUR true colors. Keep it movin' Susan. |
Corinthian- Phrat- Sweetheart-
Summa of us are well, let's just say we know thangs that you have wet dreams about... So most of us can guess your age and you ain't rockin' the P.I.M.P. like that... Now some of us may want to "utilize your talents and skills", but we all know that if we choose to, it won't be that serious because you are just starting to get your "fanclub" or "groupies" that hangout with cho. All D5 fraternities have their groupies. Some of the ladies are greeks, some of the ladies are not. But, for the ladies that are greek, there is also something to maintained as allegiance to their own organization, as well as, wanting to keep in line with that "greek love parallel universe"--i.e. "phirst phamily"... But in reality, most of the time, we go with what we love in the end... And that may be some of them 2-lettered organizations--which is cool for some folks and then sometimes it's the GDI that takes our breath away. Either way, I don't think it is a big deal that folks are making it all seem... Does that answer the question that you think BlackAdam was looking for? |
Re: Is it just me, or is it girls in sororities mainly date guys in fraternities?

Damn...I didn't realize this topic would morph into this..
I just made an observation about some of the dating habits of a few individuals & simply wanted to know if I were the only who may or may not have noticed it on their respective campuses....nothing more, nothing less. Had I known this would turn into a battle of wits, I may have simply kept it to myself.. |
To answer the original post, I think that you observation is just societal nature. As a man, it seems to me that women are attracted to power. I'm not saying this as a put down because as men I think that we are too. On college campuses that comes in the form of a certain status. Unfortunately it's a stereotype of our superficiality. Some people just buy into the hype. During my undergraduate matriculation I observed the same thing. Somehow people have come to correlate greek letters with guaranteed success or power.

I didn't finish reading the whole thread, but i felt compelled to answer. Some, dare i say a majority of greek people date greek people for the same reason blacks date black and whites date whites, because that is what they are familiar with. Their life and experiences are surrounded by a certain caliber of person and more than likely people of whatever caliber are going to date the same type.
A friend told me about this when i was concerned about the dating pool i had to choose from. I was scared i might end up with the "hood chick" or some other disastrous type of partner, and he calmly stated that seeing as how i don't travel in circles such as that, i will not be involved with those types of persons. Hope this is clear. |
I would prefer a guy in a fraternity because the last guy I was with wasn't greek and he couldn't understand when I had to do things with my sorority, so I broke up with him. A guy in a fraternity would be able to relate to me better.

But I digress. Back to the thread topic. In short, I don't know if I would ever want to date a Greek woman. In my observation they are a lot of fun to kick it with and be good casual friends with, but by dating them it would create another dynamic that I don't know if I particularly care to involve myself with. And I speak from experience btw. |
