I donated tonight at Mass.
My church raised $28,000 last weekend, which is phenomenal! :D |
-donated to LSU vet school (this is where a majority of sick animals will be)
-HSUS (helped out last week with "animal refugees"-thank goodness most have a home, the owners were in Austin as well at a shelter-I saw first hand the work they are doing-please continue to donate if you can) and donated to red cross |
$200 to Red Cross, plus food items to Wal-Mart's collection box, and a few dollars here and there to philanthrops on campus. And prayers! :)

So far, we've donated to the Humane Society, Tubey's Kids, and plan (if I could ever get the weblink to work) to donate through AOII for our sisters affected by Katrina. We're also planning a drive (gift card, cash, etc) for a sister who was displaced due to Katrina.
DS #3 took 2 bags filled with hotel toiletries to school for a donation drive. DH does a lot of traveling and we've been saving the hotel toiletries to donate to a shelter, but decided after Katrina that these might be needed there. |
Donated $50 to red cross and $25 to humane soc. I also orchastrated a drive at work donated clothes food from fellow employees. Also donated another $50 in pennies to my sons school project for school as they are raising funds thru a penny drive fo the victims

We took some of our vacation money we have been saving for vacation on Oct and donated to the Red Cross, the Humane Society, and we gave a donation to our church who are going there as well as took a ton of clothes and canned goods and such tot he church so they could take it with thém.
A vacation is nice, but this really puts life in prospective and those people need the help, Id much rather help them, then waste the money on stupid stuff. |
