The shocking divorce between Eddie Murphy and his wife Nicole is still the talk of the town. Friends are saying they don't know how the marriage lasted as long as it did (12 years). Some sources claim that while Eddie is an amazing dad, he was too reclusive for Nicole. He likes dinner at home and doesn't want to party all the time. Nicole is ready to kick up her heels and live. After having babies for the past ten years, she wants to go out and have fun while he wants to stay at home. Sources hinted that Nicole is ready to breathe and live her life, and she may have already found another man. Friends also claim their sudden split had nothing to do with the 1997 incident when police stopped Eddie's car while he was in the company of a transsexual prostitute. Eddie claimed he was just giving the prostitute a ride home because he was in need. Eddie and Nicole were together two weeks before their split at a fashion show. Nicole was modeling, and Eddie was there cheering on. A lot of their friends were also in attendance. Johnny Gill was there, and he and Eddie are close friends. Over the past week, a nasty rumor has been going around questioning the friendship between Eddie and Johnny Gill. Are they more than friends? What's up with the Hawaiian vacations? Was the popular singer behind the breakup? So far, neither Eddie or Johnny have responded to the rumors despite the loud rumblings. Will they respond? Will we start hearing news about new girlfriends? Or, will all the talk go away if, somehow, Nicole and Eddie reconcile? Stay tuned.

Now speaking of girlfriends, was Actress Leila Arcieri just a front for Oscar Winner Jamie Foxx? Before he won his Academy Award, she was on his arm all the time. Right before The Academy Awards ceremony, she was told her services were no longer needed. They have not been seen together since. What happened? Jamie has stated time and time again, he is not a one-woman man. Was he just using Leila? Who is the woman he is really seeing? Who is the main squeeze? Will his faithful fans be upset when the truth comes out about the type of woman he prefers? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Disgraced Mike Tyson has spent the past week denying stories about him. Tyson says he is not going to do a porn movie, but he wants to be an actor now that his boxing career is over. He says he would not do porn. Tyson also is denying reports that he beat up a woman in Italy who refused to do drugs and have sex with him. The woman Florence Botilli, 33, says she was at a nightclub in Italy with friends when Tyson spotted her on the dance floor. He then grabbed her and took her to his yacht. Botilli says a large amount of cocaine was on the table, and Tyson started to indulge. He then asked her to do some lines, and she said, No, I don't do drugs. Then he asked her to have sex, she refused, and then he went wild. Botilli says Tyson punched her and threw her to the floor. She says he hit her with such force that she saw stars, and Tyson's bodyguard had to rush over and save her after hearing her screams. This incident happened earlier this month. Tyson is no stranger to violence against women. Back in 1992, he was convicted of rape. Police in Italy have questioned Tyson about the incident, and he told them he wasn't being a bad boy.

Did Mariah Carey have an affair with Rapper Eminem back in 2001? Eminen says they did, and after it was over he realized he didn't like her as a person. The rapper is currently on the road with his Anger Management Tour. During the show, he plays a private voicemail message that she left for him begging him to call her. Reps for Mariah are furious. They claim that the voice of the woman is not Mariah. Mariah says she did not have an affair with Eminem. She claims they hung out, and he wanted to take it further. She says when she told him no, he got mad and became obsessed with her. She says Eminem stalked her and showed up everywhere she was. Mariah says she never slept with him, and he felt rejected and scorned when she turned him down. The two are scheduled to be at the MTV Video Music Awards on the 28th. Will their reps be able to keep them apart? Will Eminem respond to Mariah's charges on stage? I can't imagine them together! Mariah may wear skimpy clothes, but I doubt she sleeps around. Did this incident happen before her well publicized breakdown?

Oscar Winner Halle Berry says she is willing to get naked again for a movie. She says she is no longer afraid of nudity if a movie calls for it. Please Halle, there was enough nudity in Monster's Ball! Don't let these Hollywood types trick you into thinking you have to keep taking your clothes off… you are too talented for that! Halle will be getting more screen time in the new X-Men movie. Halle plays the character Storm, and her role is being expanded in the new installment. Halle is also going to be a presenter at The 57th Annual Emmy Awards. The awards, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, take place on September 18th on CBS. Halle is up for two awards as Producer of the HBO movie, Lackawanna Blues, and she's nominated as Outstanding Actress in a movie or miniseries for Their Eyes Were Watching God.

Vivica A. Fox as Whitney Houston? Yes! Vivica is going to star in and produce a TV movie based on the life of Whitney Houston. What version of Whitney are we going to see? There's the image that was created by her Mentor Clive Davis. Elegant, refined, classy, and then there's the version we see every week on the reality show, Being Bobby Brown. Whitney is buck wild and raw on this show. Now this was filmed before she entered rehab, but does it show her true personality? And, will Vivica be singing, or will the voice be dubbed?

Ryan Seacrest is being groomed as the new Dick Clark, and he will be joining the legendary television host and producer this New Year's Eve. Last year, Dick Clark, 75, suffered a stroke, and, for the first time in the show's history, he was unable to participate. Seacrest is best known as the host of American Idol and last year he tried to go up against Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with his own special. Even in Clark's absence, Seacrest was no match for the legendary show, which is a staple as many people ring in the New Year with the show. Since his stroke, Clark has stayed out of the public eye. He will team up with Seacrest this year, and then he will let Seacrest take over as the permanent host.

It's a girl for 76ers Star Guard Allen Iverson and his wife Tawanna. Earlier this week, Messiah Lauren was born. And she joins her other siblings, Tiaura, Allen III and Isiah Rahsaan. Congrats to the Iversons on baby number four.

Guess whose back with the Sixers? Former Sixer and Philly Native Doug Overton. Doug played with the Sixers for years, and he also played for Dobbins High and LaSalle University. Doug is going to be the team's Director of Player Development.

Actor Miguel Nunez (Juwanna Mann, Sparks) is returning to TV. Nunez is joining the cast of Joey. Joey airs on NBC and stars Matt LeBlanc in his spinoff from the popular Friends show. Nunez is going to play a friend of Joey's who gets him into trouble.

RuPaul is coming out with a doll. When the doll was presented, RuPaul took off his hair and makeup and introduced the doll collection as himself, RuPaul Andre Charles. The three doll collection is making history as the first transvestite fashion doll. It goes for $60. RuPaul is also coming out with a line of greeting cards, wrapping paper and gift bags.

The new issue of Jet magazine will be a special tribute issue dedicated to its founder, Publishing Giant John Johnson. Johnson died last week, and his funeral services took place earlier this week. This is an issue that every family should have. Johnson opened up many doors, and this issue will spotlight his amazing career and how he made history.

Speaking of history's icons, we're sending out get well wishes to Corretta Scott King. The social activist and widow of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had to cut back her work and stop traveling due to her continuing heart problems. We're keeping her and her family in our thoughts and prayers.

Jeffrey Osborne is doing an album of remakes. From The Soul is due out October 6th. Jeffrey will be doing People Get Ready by The Impression, Until You Come Back To Me by Aretha Franklin and Teddy Pendergrass' Close The Door, to name a few.

Ralph Tresvant from New Edition is also releasing a new album this fall. It's been 13 years since he released a solo project (1992's Sensitivity). Ralph says he is excited about the project. He still plans to continue his work with New Edition. Look for a new New Edition album sometime next year.

American Idol Judge Paula Abdul has been cleared of any wrongdoing regarding the scandal with former Idol Contestant Corey Clark. Clark claims he had an affair with Abdul and she coached him with his performances. An independent council failed to find any evidence of wrongdoing. Paula will remain as a judge on American Idol. She says she is glad this ordeal is over.

Stevie Wonder says get ready for his new album, A Time For Love, on September 27th. He promises, no more delays.

We can also get ready for the hardest working woman in show business! The month of September is going to be busy for Supermodel Tyra Banks. The fifth installment of America's Next Top Model kicks off on September 21st, and her brand new talk show debuts on the 12th.

Kimora Lee Simmons, the wife of Hip Hop Mogul Russell Simmons, is getting six months probation after pleading guilty to wreckless driving and ignoring police when they tried to pull her over. Since a small amount of marijuana was found in the car, she will take part in an intervention program.

The 10th Annual Lady of Soul Awards are talking place next month. The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin will be getting The Lena Horne Award for Outstanding Career Achievement. Stevie Wonder will be on hand to give it to her, and they will be doing a duet together. Brian McKnight and Toni Braxton are hosting. Ciara, Amerie and John Legend are all scheduled to perform. Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Jill Scott, and Destiny's Child are all up for awards.
