WE REMEMBER LUTHER VANDROSS: Singer dies at the age of 55. *We have just received word that R&B icon Luther Vandross has died. He was 55.


The singer and songwriter had been ailing since suffering a stroke in April 2003 that left him in a coma for nearly two months. His last album, “Dance With My Father,” was released on June 10, 2003, the same week that he came out of his coma.

I am truly feeling for Mama Mary ... Luther's siblings all predeceased him, according to the articles.

I was very upset when I heard that he passed. I was hoping that he would have pulled through the effects of his stroke--at least he is not suffering anymore.

My condolences to his family members (especially his mother) and friends.

Now he can truly dance with his father...again
