Yep.

Not to mention the alleged use of the "the Jesus fish"/Ictus as a way for Christians to identify one another without risking religious persecution. That's not so much a secret method used by a "secret society" but it goes to show that humans have been doing this stuff forever.

Chi Omega is the largest women's organization in the United States, even bigger than the Girl Scouts. This is a common knowledge fact available to anyone. All Greeks are taught this at some point. :)

Conratulations on your initiation to Chi Omega. I sincerely hope you stay as proud of your GLO in the years to come as you are now.

However, not all greeks are taught about how many ChiOs exist. Some of us belong to non-greek organizations which, whether you want to believe it or not, do have more members than Chi Omega - many more. We just tend to smile and let y'all be happy with this "common knowledge fact".

GreekChat as a whole tends to be very Panhellenic. I realize that you're just on your first post, but you may want to keep that in mind. I say this with kindness in my heart, but trust me, there will be some who won't be so tactful a second time around. Again, my congratulations.

Uh, no. I'm Greek and I can assure you there was nothing about Chi Omega in our pledge program, or afterwards. Many of my sisters probably have no idea Chi Omega even exists because it wasn't on their campus.

And your information is false. I use this morning to introduce a new acronym: PRBP (Please Research Before Parrotting).

This is the "less tactful" post. Honeychile and I are like the light and dark sides of Pittsburgh.

Maybe I missed something, but, what does Chi Omega Fraternity's membership have to do with the topic of "calls and hand signs"?

Only those who are taught incorrect information.

A great addition to the GC Dictionary, I think!

Is it just me (and 5Knowledge1913 :D) or does SXB90lm's post seem random -- both as a first post and in the context of this thread, which SXB90lm bumped?

No one even told me this was being discussed. I would have enjoyed this! :D
