Yeah, if you guys are serious about it, definately.

It only takes about 1 1/2 hours from where I am. Heck, anywhere in Mass. only takes 1 1/2 hours! LOL!

Found this interesting on their web site.

" The first communicants were Elizabeth Slade, Sarah Slade, Susan Cole, Mr. & Mrs. William Pearse and John Mason, Esq."

Wonder if there is a connection there with Brother Jack Mason?

Emailed to see if they could give us any information.

Waiting to hear back.

If they can give some info, it would be great and a chance to some photos for presentation at G A!

Likely not. Notice the postcript "Esq" following Mason's name. That would suggest that this Mason was possibly a lawyer. Our Mason was not a lawyer.

Maybe a relative?

Stranger things have happened!

Fraternal forensic archeology

Fraternal forensic archeology will commence on the morning of Sunday, June 11th, 2006. I will be arriving in Boston the evening before aboard UA #162 from Los Angeles.

Sunday and Monday are set aside for fraternal forensic archeology, the finding of the resting place of Warren Cole - and anyody else we care to find. Photos will be taken.

Should anybody else want to joing me on this expedition, please drop me a note at FullertonPi@msn.com and we can discuss logistics.

I am set to depart on Tuesday at 6:45 AM aboard UA #163, BOS - LAX.

GammaZeta 05-31-2006 10:47 PM

Nice. Let me know what I can do to make the trip as worthwhile as possible!

john1082 05-31-2006 11:08 PM

Pack a lunch?

Seriously, I'd love to have you come along. I've never wandered about Boston or Massachusettes so I really have NO CLUE what I am doing. I do have a laptop with GPS and I should have a topo map or two and some information from the local historical society.

What you could do now, and it won't cost you a dime, is tell me what county Swansea and Rehoboth are in. That could help in the search.

After we commune with Brother Cole, then what?

GammaZeta 05-31-2006 11:19 PM

Ask and ye shall receive:

SUPER

Bristol County, eh?

A quick e-mail to the Bristol County Historical Society @

http://www.rootsweb.com/~mabristo/mabristo.htm

may help pave the way here. Need to locat old cemeteries, plus anything on 'Horton Land'.

Find us some suitable saloon nearby

GammaZeta 05-31-2006 11:25 PM

After Cole, Hmmmmmmm.

Well there are a million things to do in Boston of course.

As far as specific LXA things, let me think. It's a Sunday so most libraries will be closed so no artifact hunting. It's summer so most LXA houses will be empty.

You guys should really contact the Cross and Crescent mag, I'm sure they would think this is a great story.

I have work on Monday, but maybe I can catch up on that Sunday?

john1082 05-31-2006 11:33 PM

I can be found on MSN as FullertonPi and on AIM as ElderLawOC

Much easier than these BB entries

C&C Article About W.A. Cole

Brothers,

I really appreciate the effort that is going into mounting this expedition to find our Founder's burial site. Please take lots of photographs and keep good notes.

I have already scheduled a Warren A. Cole article for the December, 2006 issue of the C&C. I think that this field work will add much to the proposed article.

Don't forget, if you can, find out if an appropriate memorial would be OK with the current oproperty owners of his burial site.

Please keep us posted....

Got email from Christ Church and need Date of Birth and Death.

They got back to Me very quick.

They requested these dates to look Him up. Said there were a lot of Coles and a Cole River also.

Have not responded as of yet.

Hello Mr. Earp,
I am curious to know why you think we might have information about Warren Albert Cole. What is the date of death? That might be a start.
(Cole is an old name in Swansea. We even have a Cole's River.)

Warren A. Cole's 1963 Address

Good Evening Members of the WAC Expedition Team,

I just ran across a note that I made about Cole a couple of years ago and found this address as of 1963:

Warren A. Cole
286 New Meadows Road
Barrington, R.I.

I don't know if this will help the WAC Expedition Team or not, but there you have it!
