Someone who's knowledge of news and current events go beyond celebrity gossip/scandals and reality show goings-on. Those who listen to NPR and BBC is a major plus (REAL NEWS sources), along with those who keep up with economic news and/or read The Economist and Mother Jones. Again, they don't have to do all these things, but they must be aware of current news from a variety of sources, not just CNN and Fox News. But I digress....

Sounds fine:cool:...it is the rest that scares me.

I'm asking because when I was growing up I used to attend this "holiness" church and the old school religified folk used to say that anklets are for prostitutes. I used to believe that until I got out into the real world and found that to be very far from reality. It's funny but one time(after I left that church and joined the church where I attend now) I actually wore an anklet when I went to their church picnic and the older folk was like  ( I had the anklet on with my long skirt) The next thing I know my cuz told me they started telling the youth of the church to stay away from me because I had let the world corrupt me, and they got all of that from me wearing an ankle bracelet. I guess seeing a girl with a long skirt or capri pants on with an anklet would send a signal that she is fass  but in my case that judgment would be 100% FALSE.

No, I didn't hear it from the church. I just hate it and I think it looks stupid as hell. It looks trashy and the women that I've seen wear them were all hoes. I can't say you or any other woman that I've never met are like that, but I'm just speaking on what I've seen. It's like buying a car that doesn't last. I wouldn't buy a car from that same company anymore if the 1st car I bought gave me problems. For the women who want to wear them that's cool. I just won't be with them, that's all. I'm sure some guys like it, but I sure as hell don't. Different strokes for different folks.

Yeah, I know people who wear ankle bracelets too and they look tasteful to me.

My question is: what kind of stilettos are you referring to because I always wear stilettos as I'm sure most of the women on GC are as well.

I'm just not interested in women that wear stilettos. They make her look like a slut to me.

Of course, those who dress conservatively is a major turn on for me; I like to be greeted at the door by a woman in a June Cleaver dress with pearls (yeah, I like AKAs :p :D) over a woman coming to the door with Saran Wrap and stiletto heels. But that's just me, though. YMMV.

Damn, Nupe. Maybe it's just a fraternity thing, because I like the conservative look too. I love the June Cleaver look. I can't stand stilettos or clothes that look like they've been painted on. TRASH.

Not me, I can't walk in them. :D But they do look good on you. They tend to flatter a woman's legs, imo.

Naw, dude. I know plenty of Kappas that like women in stilettos and wouldn't mind be greeted at the door by his woman in saran wrap. Maybe it's just a PB and RM thing.

I was just having this conversation with my brother earlier today. I don't equate SEXY with being naked, or in tight clothes. My woman can be sexy in pajamas or anything. Sexy is the way you walk, the way you talk, and the confidence a woman has. I did used to have a thing for a woman in boots though:D If a woman has on a high heel with a pair of business slacks or something...then that is cool. But I don't wanna see your azz if you bend over(I might look, but you won't be my woman)!

PrettyBoy 06-06-2007 11:33 PM

I don't respect women that wear that crap. They think men like it but most men just want to see them with their panites around their ankles. If I brought home a woman that was dressed like anything near that, my parents would be like.

I like women who respect themselves and dress with class. Those are the ones I bring home too meet the parents.

How come when most men realize this they are usually past the college age and ready to settle down? Young men today in the 18-22 range generally run for "Saran Wrap" and stiletto clad women instead of the more conservatively dressed ones. It sends the message that female is undesireable unless half of her body is hanging out or squeezed into a tight outfit.

I've been this way(the committed type) since I hit puberty. I have never, ever liked women that wear that trash. Seriously, and I haven't changed and I won't change. Plus, a lot of young women like guys like the ones you just mentioned anyway.

PrettyBoy 06-06-2007 11:55 PM

fishnet stockings
stilettos
anklets
tight clothes of any type
tattoos
body piercings anywhere except the ears
come screw me shoes
multiple bracelets on the wrist
too much make up
weaves
long fake finger nails

A woman that wears any of the above plus me=none.

True, but when you first meet/see a guy, how are you to know that they are the type guy that prefers scantily clad women?

PB I feel that you are the last of a dying breed if you've been that way since puberty.
