After arriving to the site, click "Join Now" and then choose the country you wish to represent.

I scored a 60%, which is above average. I surprisingly knew where the United Arab Emirates and Congo were, but I was clueless with Latvia and Uruguay!

I got a 60% also. My big problem with geography is that some of the countries have changed since we studied it in 7th grade! LOL!

I can do where the states are, but when it gets to the actual cities I get a little messed up with that. (as Kath can attest to my lack of knowledge of where certain cities are!):p

cash78mere 11-27-2004 03:40 PM

i got a 40%. that was really hard!

i am really good with the states, but world-wide my geography could improve. it's the tiny countries that throw me the most

Hokay, was I the only one who did not even hear of the country of Eritrea until taking this challenge?

I use Geometry and Trig all the time, but I'm sort of a special case.

I can't see why people who aren't in architecture or engineering would need it--other than teachers.

I got a 40% as well....my problem was that I knew the *approximate* location of everything, but then I couldn't find the two islands I got (at least to click on them), and I mixed up Yemen and Oman - but I knew Albania and Libya, Finland and one other (that I can't remember now!). Now I'm going to go try it again! :)

I've heard of the country, but I had no idea where it was until now.
(And I thought I was good at Geography up till I took the quiz :( )

ms_gwyn 11-27-2004 06:17 PM

Ok I like this quiz very much

I took it 2 times, the first time I had 60% and the second time I got 90%, of course the second time is an area that I feel comfortable in finding

60% - I was actually able to find the Solomon Islands - but never ever heard of Holy See, let alone being able to find it on a map.

Speaking of Guam, according to FIFA, they have the worst national man team in the world. Ranked 205 out of 205 teams. Montserrat used to be the worst last month, but they went up 4 places to 201.
So since Guam is part of the US... the US has the worst national man team in the world, ranked 205 out of 205...

Thandy is thtoopid.

Eritrea was visited by Clinton in his tour of Africa back in 1997/98 (cant remember which). Good country- built themselves up from the squalor that was once part of Ethiopia.

Unfortunately PR doesnt have the economy to support themselves like other states. I bet VI could. Not sure about Guam. American Samoa.. probably couldnt either.
However- some of the recent areas to become independent of the US (like Vanuatu in the 90s)- the majority of their GDP is $$ from the US...
