Actually in a way it is not. In life you give everyone a certain amount of respect - just like trust. You start out with a little and as that relationship with that person develops that respect meter either drops or it gets higher.

So just as though you would like for us to come on to your board "humble" we would appreciate the same from you. When you got on our board you didnt bother to introduce yourself or ask questions - you just started ranting - which in my book as well as some others here was disrespectful.

I would love to talk to your Aunt!:) But the fact remains that the term Zeta Phi Beta Sigma is no longer to be used. Kinda like hazing, some people want to keep it around for nostalgia reasons.;)

To be honest I was waiting on Frat that wanted to call the Sigmas at Howard and discuss what is wrong with us. I sent him a pm hoping that we could dialogue. But I guess he's above talking and "setting us straight" now. I think that is what bothers me more than anything.

but ole well.

This one give me a chuckle everytime I see it:

My sentiments exactly!

Epitome: I can understand your point on the Zeta Phi Beta Sigma issue. Thanks for clearing that up.

And like hazing, is going to take quite an effort to get people used to not doing it (in some ways more, because brothers/sisters/others don't often see how it hurts and its not like the police (or administrations) are going to help. :) )

But I did a google search for "zeta phi beta sigma" and got over 5000 hits. I even subtracted the ones with "sigma gamma rho" so lists the NPHC sororities wouldn't come up... (I'll send you the google search URL if you like)

I'm interested in what ways that Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma have indicated that the term is not to be used...

Wow. Since you aren't a member of either Zeta Phi Beta or Phi Beta Sigma I'm really interested in why you have invested so much energy into something that is a dead issue.. I will speak for Zeta Phi Beta and say that our IHQ has made this known to our members.

CasanovaAPQ 12-01-2004 09:05 AM

its really not that serious, its just a term we use thats it, its not offical at all. it like the Omegas use Que, Kappa's use NUPE and Sigma's use G.O.M.A.B. Its like some APO chapter use Ay-Phi-Que, its not offical. can we just leave this issue alone. Narath i like your interests but its not that serious. This forum is starting to get real petty now. I personally dont have time ot be researching something that i would never understand, thats like me trying to understand why kappa's use NUPE. i personally dont care why they do thats there thing. Also it should be common sense why some people would use that term ZETA PHI BETA, PHI BETA SIGMA put it all together, eliminate doubling the words, being we are constitutionally bond, u get ZETA PHI BETA SIGMA. WOW it take a real genuis to figure that out. Some peopleuse it some dont. its not offical just a phase some will say to show our love for eachother. So can we please stop this peetiness.

Well at least I got more posts under my belt.

This is starting to remind me of the Tri-Sigma vs. Tri-Sig thread.
