Oh crap, it was on tonight? I was out and missed it -- anyone care to do a recap?

Kendra is a BITCH!!!!! I really dislike her, she is soooooooooo disrespectful that it is unbelievable. Her comments were hurtful, uncalled for and inappropraite. OK I understand that this is not your culture, nor something that you perhaps are not used to, but some of the things that she said........

She is just a hateful and bitter person

Ok, now I have to finish watching the show and so see what other disrespectful things happen.

[Edited to add my other thoughts]

Jonathan is an IDIOT, when his bag got stolen he would have yelled at Victoria fot not picking up his bag. She needs to leave him. He is way to abusive.

Gus and Hera are officially my favorite team. I got really tickled by the Beer jaunt. He seems to be a great Dad.

Co-sign.

I'm sad to see Mary Jean and Don go home. They had the best attitude. I'm rooting for Gus & Hera now.

Phil looked painfully uncomfortable during that drama with Jonathan and Victoria.

CutiePie2000 12-15-2004 02:57 AM

I knew that this thread would be hopping after the show....LOL.

First the "light stuff"-- I was LMAO about Gus wanting to drink the beer in the Bier Halle...that was too funny. And he so forelorn was Hera was "No, Daddy, you can't drink the beer". LOL!

Okay, enough people have commented about ugly Jonathan and I agree. He is such a terrible person. And hello, I have been to Berlin and it is where East meets West....I guarantee you that his bag would have been stolen. There are tons of people from the Eastern Bloc walking around Berlin who are poor and would have snatched the opportunity, if it presented itself.

As for Rebecca, when they were still on Goree Island...I could NOT BELIEVE  when she said, "Now I know why so many people escaped?" Hello...try the fact that millions of people were kidnapped against their will and sold into slavery.
(By the way, I did a little search about Goree Island and found this:
http://www.aaregistry.com/african_am...r_of_No_Return

They estimate that 20 million enslaved Africans passed through Goree Island. )
I also wanted to say that I am haunted by that episode, where everyone visited the Slave House and also that statue of the man with the chains on his wrists and the woman....absolutely haunted.

I wish that Phil would ask Jonathan and Victoria to leave the race...can "mental cruelty" be a valid reason to kick someone out of the race?

Johnathan's behavior is scary, and I can't believe the CBS execs let him physically hit Victoria that way. I know it was just a shove, but no one deserves to be treated that way.

I hope that, if G-d forbid it happens again, they'll automatically disqualify them and Victoria charges him with assault.

I know Victoria's the victim, but it's obvious she's weak -- no woman deserves shit like that and I hope she's gotten help since then.

mmcat 12-15-2004 08:38 AM

the poor grandparents....they tried so hard and eventual fell. too bad.

Sistermadly 12-15-2004 08:43 AM

Quickly:

Kendra - needs her @$$ kicked. Today.
Rebecca - did you just sleep through American history in school? Numbnuts.
Jonathan - if there's any justice in the world, somewhere there's a steamroller with your name on it.

MysticCat 12-15-2004 10:42 AM

I was really, really, really pulling for one of the following scenarios:

1) Phil tells Jonathan and Victoria, "In my discretion as host, I'm slapping you with a three-hour penalty due to Jonathan's unsportsman-like behavior."

or

2) Victoria quits, both ridding the airwaves of Jonathan and saving Don and Mary Jean from elimination.

(FWIW, Ms. MysticCat and I couldn't tell whether J actually shoved V herself or shoved her backpack -- not that there's really much difference.)

And co-sign with others on Kendra, who takes the concept of the Ugly American to a whole new and deeper level, and on Rebecca who takes ignorance to a whole new and deeper level.

I'm still liking Hayden and Aaron the best, followed by Kris and John.

i was hoping that she would have said "i quit" last night and just stand there to let everyone else pass.

reading the guessbook section for their website was quite amusing.

I don't know who to pity more.

I don't know how Victoria can stay with him after he's already humiliated her in front of an international audience. I really don't feel sorry for her anymore.

bcdphie 12-15-2004 05:29 PM

I don't think I can post what I want to say about Jonathan - I would probably be banned from GreekChat.

Because she's like a lot of abused women - she justifies and makes excuses for his behavior. Also consider the alternative: if he shoves her after 'losing' a trip that they probably could afford to pay for, think of what he might do to her if she left or quit the race. :(

There's an email going around the DV workers' community about this. I've never watched this show, so I didn't see it, but I understand his behavior towards her has been heinous from the beginning, culminating in his push of her the other night. Anyhow, this email is encouraging everyone to email/mail CBS execs about allowing domestic violence to be portrayed on their programming, and about further victimizing the woman by NOT doing anything about it. If I had access to my work email right now (at home) I'd post a copy.

Basically, this guy sounds like a real cockbite.

Sister Havana 12-21-2004 10:22 PM

My Jonathan hatred grows with every episode. I did not like him harrassing Gus and Hera every time he saw them. "WAAAAAH you took our tickets we'd have been Number One if not for you WAAAAAH!"

And what was up with the ending tonight?
