Actually, I'm from Atlanta and go to Alabama for school. We call it Coke both in my home county (Cobb in GA) and here in Tuscaloosa county at school.

I think most call it Coke in the South because of its Atlanta origins. I pretty much refuse to drink most Pepsi products-- I'm a Coke girl all the way!

My boyfriend just moved into a condo in Smyrna. Yay for Cobb County! :) I spent the whole weekend there and I LOVE it!

I call it soda. I grew up in SoFl so that explains it. Although, after living in Orange County, FL for 5 years now where most of the people call it Coke (50-80%), it's starting to rub off on me and I've been known to say it more often.

Call it soda in ATL they might call you a tourist or worse a yankee. :p ;)

The yankee comment was a joke for those that didn't get that.
