I will be there tonight to ease the pain of crazy meetings. Broad Ripple is my second home. :)

I work as a bartender at a karaoke bar, and I hate working at a karaoke bar. I'd rather be drunk off my ass at a karaoke bar. ;)

I prefer sports bars and college bars myself. I hate hate hate hate hate going to clubs where it takes forever and a day just to get your stupid $5 beer.

That's why I still love Magoo's to this day, just a hop, skip, and jump from my campus, where they had 126 beers on tap.

Any good bar where the beer is cold and served in 1/2 and full yards.

Only one place in Las Vegas that meets that requirement: Money Plays on Flamingo Road just east of Decatur Boulevard. Friday and Saturday nights they have decent local bands with no cover charge. No hard liquor, though. (The Inn Zone is across the street, that place has full liquor.)

It's also been my younger brother's favorite hangout for close to 15 years. He's already immortalized in the pub's 100-yard club (over 20 times!). Look for the plaque with the Harp tap handle... that's his.

Not what, WHERE. :) SHe is in NYC, where like Los Angeles, you're paying $10 and up for a cocktail.

Yes. Cocktails were $12 each on Friday night. A glass of wine was $8. :(

We have the most updated Megatouch at my bar, and we have "EROTIC" Photo Hunt, but it's hard to enjoy it when the naked chicks are just so damn ugly.

There was a nekkid girl whose areolae were bigger than my head!

I am really BUMMED OUT! The bartender at the clubhouse where we live is leaving!

This guy is not your standard shot and fill the glass with something type.

Nor is he into what I consider "boutique" drinks.

He is a real mixologist -- and he pours a great shot as well.

I'm not the only one who is bummed -- e-mails are flying all over the community to try to keep him.

Damn.

Bribe him! Good bartenders are hard to find.

Exactly! It occurred to me the other day that going to a real bartending school might be a good idea -- a way to make a few bucks after retirement -- not that I'm that close yet.

Either that or find a retired bartender in the area....

We have one downtown here that is awesome... $2.50 beers on Thursday.. on Wednesday.. they're $1.50 pints (good beer too.. not just Bud Light or such!)

They have tables that are cabled to the walls.. then at 10pm, sharply, they fold up the tables into the wall and turn on the disco ball. Its a class joint you know. ;)

None-the-less.. the beer is cheap, the music is good, and the mullets are plentiful! :p
