The "REAL" Story
 

See, Usher used to smoke blunts with Bobby and Whitney nem all the time, right. They used to take turns buying the weed. But, Whitney moved on to bigger and better things (COKE/CRACK); and Bobby couldn't afford to buy the weed anymore because Whitney always bought it for him. Usher ended up buying the weed all the time and got tired of Bobby leaching off of him. So, he told Bobby about himself and they fell out. After some time passes, Usher invites Bobby to the birthday party and tells him that there will be weed there. Bobby shows up fiending because he hasn't smoked since the last time Usher brought the weed. At the party, Usher invites Bobby to the stage to recognize him for what he did for R & B. As they embrace Bobby says "Where the weed at, man?" Usher says "Oh, my bad man. I didn't have time to get it." Bobby-out of frustration of not having smoked for months and having to deal with Whitney's crack smokin' a** tells Usher that he is going to throw him off the balcony!

I read that article. He also reveals that the Confession song is really about Jermaine Dupre. Dupre had THAT issue going on. Then he goes on to apologize that he didn't mean to put ole boys business out there like that. :o

Usher, the movie star? Yes! Usher is going to star in and produce a movie called Step in the Name of Love. The movie is set in the world of stepping. The movie will be like an urban Saturday Night Fever. This October Usher will be featured in the Ray Charles biography movie Unchain My Heart starring Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles.


A Night of Rapture, a live album featuring the best of Anita Baker
arrives in stores on June 8th. The album was recorded at the 1986
Montreux Jazz Festival.


Jill returns with a new CD on August 31st. Beautifully Human Words
and Sounds Volume two is the name of the album. The first single is
a song called "Golden." Look for Jill on an upcoming issue of
Essence Magazine. She will be on the August cover.


Whoopi Goldberg's NBC show Whoopi has been cancelled after one
season. The show started strong and later fell to low ratings.


Mariah Carey is looking to reinvent herself. After many years of
service she has fired her longtime publicist Cindi Berger. Berger
was there through the good times and the bad including her marriage
to Tommy Mottola, her mental breakdown and the movie Glitter. If she
would just put some clothes and sing her career would take off
again. Benny Medina is now managing Mariah. He's the man who made J-
Lo a star and he's also working with Brandy.


Patti LaBelle is headed to the big screen. Patti is teaming up with
John Travolta in the movie Be Cool. Be Cool is the sequel to the
1995, crime comedy Get Shorty. The movie also stars Uma Thurman and
Andre 3000 from Outkast. Patti's has a new CD out called Timeless
Journey and she will be touring the US in August. In the movie Patti
plays a disc jockey.


Rick James will be the big honoree at the 17th Annual Rhythm and
Soul Awards. The ceremony takes place June 28th, in Beverly Hills.
Rick is getting the ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Heritage Award for his
contribution to R&B music.

Whitney Houston says she feels whole after completing a portion of
her drug rehab. Whitney no longer has a chaperone to watch her as
she moves into phase two of her recovery. Whitney's former mentor
Clive Davis is planning a major comeback for Whitney next year. He
is urging her to stay out of trouble. Clive made Whitney a superstar
and he feels he can work his magic on her again.


Alicia Keys is ready to start her acting career. Alicia is making
her film debut in a movie based on the life of piano prodigy Phippa
Schuyler. Schuyler was a bi-racial classical pianist who went on to
become an award-winning journalist who later died in Vietnam during
the war. Halle Berry is producing the project.


Country singer Charlie Pride is recovering at home from brain
surgery. The 66-year-old entertainer had been complaining about
frequent headaches when doctors discovered a blood clot between his
brain and his skull.


Rocker Lenny Kravitz says he did not cheat on Oscar winner Nicole
Kidman. Lenny and Nicole were a hot item last year and a lot of
people thought they were headed to the altar. Lenny was photographed
with various women and sources say this led to the breakup with
Kidman. Lenny says it was just speculation that he cheated on
Kidman. Lenny turns 40 next week and he has a now album out called
Baptism. He says he and Nicole remain friends and he would like to
get married and have more children. Lenny has a teenage daughter
from a previous marriage to Cosby Kid Lisa Bonet. Lenny is also
working on a movie Barbeques and Bar Mitzvahs. He's going to direct
and star in the movie based on his life experiences growing up black
and Jewish.

That Usher Raymond was naive enough to believe that Booby even had class back in the day. Booby, like Whitless, was polished up by his handlers, so that we didn't see what he was really about.

And Usher got what he deserved if he invited a known addict and azzclown to his party. It would be like if he invited Isaac Luster Turner. You know Ikey's crazy.

Brandy is making confessions about her life. If it worked for Usher I guess she figures it can work for her. After a secret marriage, baby and divorce Brandy now says she wasn’t in love with her husband Robert Smith. Brandy says she realized she had to do her own thing and she is now dating basketball player Quentin Richardson of the Los Angeles Clippers. Brandy’s new album, Afrodisiac comes out in late June and Brandy is talking about everything. Word has it her husband left her when he realized he wasn’t the father of her daughter. Will Brandy talk about this? On her first single “Let’s Talk About Our Love” she alludes to the fact that his family wasn’t feeling her and got in the way. Famed producer Rodney Jerkins is Robert’s cousin and when Robert married Brandy he went on record saying he didn’t approve of the union. In other Brandy news, according to published reports, she is very jealous of Beyonce’s success and popularity. Brandy ran into Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child and she started bad mouthing Beyonce. Kelly just ignored her and got out of her way.

Al Green is now a doctor! Over the weekend Al Green received an honorary doctorate from Lemoyne-Owen College in Memphis.

Does rapper 50 Cent have the hots for Alicia Keys? He’s been pursuing her, but Alicia is not interested.

Now that Jermaine Jackson is no longer in the inner circle with his brother Michael, sources say he wants to write a book. Jermaine needs to make money and he is looking to tell the real story about the Jackson family, their father Joe, and Michael. I wonder will he talk about how he betrayed his brother Randy when he ran off with Randy’s baby momma.

Mrs. Tom Joyner, fitness expert Donna Richardson, says her new workout tape will feature gospel music. Donna says she will be teaming up with gospel artists like Yolanda Adams to put together a praise workout tape that can be distributed to churches.

Actor/director Keenan Ivory Wayans has filed for divorce from his wife of three years, Daphne. “Irreconcilable differences” has been cited as the cause of the divorce. They have five children ranging in ages from 10 months to 11 years old. This summer Keenan’s new movie, White Chicks, hits the big screen. The movie stars his brothers Shawn and Marlon who play undercover cops posing as white schoolgirls to investigate some crooked dealings at a local school.

Denzel Washington says he’s tired of being the bad guy. He won as Oscar for his role as the bad cop in Training Day and he’s scoring rave reviews for his role in Man on Fire, but Denzel says he doesn’t want to be typecast. He says he would like to do a comedy role. Maybe team up with Jim Carey, Tom Hanks or Eddie Murphy. Denzel’s next movie, The Manchurian Candidate, opens this summer.

Mariah Carey is coming out with a line of children’s clothes. Let’s hope the attire is less provocative than her own skimpy clothing.
