If you guys are ging to claim superiority over each other I think you should base it totally on IQ (on the same test)and physique. Kind of like a genetic a superiority modified by small amounts of efforts.
Anything else is kind of intangible and involves so many outside variables over which you have so little control as to amount to Chance. So which of you is the genius and which of you has the great body? |

Now, back to our regularly scheduled topic...
It seems to me that people have jumped on the Kerry bandwagon just because they don't like Bush. I am still undecided, but I have yet to see anything truly compelling to make me vote for either candidate! Tell me, WHAT will make Kerry a good candidate...that DOESN'T have to do with Bush? Also, Rudey, you should be on the next 'Apprentice'. You and Trump would get along well! aj |

As for Kerry, I'm still waiting on any plan from him. I think the middle class misery index was a clear indicator that there is nothing there. -Rudey |

As I keep saying, this is going to be a wild election. We just had our Primary 2 weeks ago, and 26% of the Democrats did NOT vote for Kerry! Seeing as how this is "Heinz Country", that doesn't speak well for him at all! He's simply a "I'm not the other guy" candidate.

Re: why I'm voting for John Kerry

It was only a few months ago that you were in love with Howard Dean who was anti-war. |
Why am I voting for Kerry?
#1) Because I agree with his stance on almost all of the issues that are important to ME. (healthcare, education, the environment/energy, civil rights, etc.) #2) Because all of the Presidents we have had since I have been politically aware (since Ford) have been Governors. I think that being a Governor gives you some strengths but I am very interested in seeing how someone who has been in Washington for a long time does things differently. Running a state is different than running a country. I think that a member of Congress has a better understanding of the country as a whole, rather than their own region. I think they also have a better understanding of foreign affairs (although Jimmy Carter learned a lot while President and continues to be a great foreign diplomat). #3) Because the Supreme Court is already leaning to the right. One or more of them are probably going to have to be replaced in the near future and I worry about it being too conservative. I would rather see the 5-4 split lean to the left, because I'm liberal myself. #4) He voted for the Equal Rights Amendment. Dee |
hmmmmmm...I'm watching 20/20, and Kerry's wife Theresa is on it. If he gets my vote, it only be because of her! She seems pretty cool!

Re: why I'm voting for John Kerry
John Kerry, are you nucking futs? I mean, we need a President with a backbone, right? That's not John Kerry. We need someone with some balls, not taking shit from anyone, laying down the law, protecting our borders. That's George Bush, not John Kerry.
If you blame the flat economy on George Bush, you better go back to Economics 101. If you blame the war on terror on George Bush, think again. If you blame 9/11 on the Bush Administration, you're wrong. Whether you like George Bush or not, the U.S. is not ready for a Presidential change. A new President will pull out of Iraq and stop supporting our allies in the Middle East, and you will see all holy hell break out on the other side of the world, and continued terrorits attacks on our soil. The worst thing for America right now is for a new Administration, especially the Kerry camp. George Bush for another 4. Quote:

Even some Republicans think Kerry would be just as strong in defense that Bush if. John McCain being the most vocal.
The scare tactic vote for Bush or the terrorist wins is a weak one. It's more like an act of desperation because usually a candidate wins with his merits not by scaring people into voting for him. Kerry already said he would have them stay in Iraq till the job was finished because we shouldn't leave the country in a mess. And to say any candidate would let the country fall apart and let terrorist attack out country without trying to do anything to stop it is weak. Every candidate has America security tops on their list. Just because some would not have invaded Iraq to start does not mean anything. Oh yes we really prevented terrorism by invading Iraq. All the Arab and Muslim world loves us now because of it. I think we helped make more terrorist and will be more likely to be attacked on our soil now that before the Iraq war. |
