Oh yeah did anyone else notice that it said in Miss Oklahoma's little profile on TV that she's 6' tall!!! That's a huge bitch.

Some of those earrings are longer than most women's legs.

YAY!!! Missouri won!!!! And I actually LOVED her dress! I thought she looked gorgeous!

honeychile 04-12-2004 11:16 PM

I'm not liking these results so far...

4 - Miss Tennessee
3 - Miss Oklahoma
2 - Miss North Carolina
1 - Miss South Carolina

Miss USA 2004 - Miss Missouri, complete with mermaid dress!

hottytoddy 04-12-2004 11:18 PM

I was kinda pulling for South Carolina after they said Miss Tennesse was 4th.

Oh well, I liked Missouri too!

lonestaradpi 04-12-2004 11:19 PM

I actually liked Missouri's dress. Very different. Woo hoo. Had her picked as a good one from the top 15.

AXJules 04-12-2004 11:22 PM

Go MO!!! So happy she won, it seemed she was the most poised and and the only one with any substance. Although I did hate the dress, at least she didn't look like a fuckin' Yeti.

Tri Delta had a great showing -- two in the top ten and one in the top five.

I really hated Miss Oklahoma. She needed to be in the Miss Teen USA pageant . . . she was nowhere ready enough for this one. I hated Miss SC's dress, but I thought she had a very good answer for the final interview. Oh and I abhored Missouri's earrings -- so distracting!

Idaho and Alabama were my favorites but I was happy with the top three.

i just have one thing to say:

who thought FEATHERS was a good idea?

ASUADPi 04-13-2004 01:22 AM

I actually thought Missouri's dress was interesting.

I was rooting for North Carolina. I loved her answer during her Q&A about bringing her sister along. I thought it was so sweet.

I thought Oklahoma's answer was something from Miss Teen USA. You'd have dinner with Justin Timberlake and ask him to teach you how to dance. What?

Did anyone else think Georgia was anorexic? I swear to god, when I saw her walk on stage in her swimsuit I was begging the TV to get her off the stage and cover up. What kind of image is that sending to young girls that she is supposed to be a role model for?

Although Ohio didn't make the top 15, I have to say I loved her comment:

"I've learned that men who are good with dogs and kids are good men"

Smart girl our sister is!!!!

Little E 04-13-2004 01:46 AM

YEA JENNIFER!!! Congrats!!!

I don't think PsychTau can say it enough!!!!! :) My whole chapter was watching and screaming for her! :)

The women were gorgeous, but who picked out those dresses, I'm sorry, but if you can almost see ass cheek, buy a new dress. The judges made me mad, cause there was one chick, state?, who had an elegant black strapless and didn't make top 10 and totally should have cause she didn't look like she was working the corner.

Her aureolas are about to just pop out and say "HEY!" Pull up the dress lady!

Okay, I couldn't resist....I had to peek! :D

After watching the beginning and seeing the Top 15 (so sorry Kelsey didn't make it ~ Miss Ohio ~ but she did an EXCELLENT job representing Ohio and the ladies of ADPi... as did all the other Greeks!), I picked me top 10 before they said who was the true top 10. I picked 7 out of the 10, but the three I picked that didn't make the cut were my absolute favorites (Arizona, New Hampshire and New Mexico). These were the comments I wrote down on the dresses I didn't like:
Missouri - ugly dress (thinking about it now, it's Tina Fabulous-esque from The Bachelor # 3)
South Carolina - ugly dress with feathers (I agree, very Big Bird-like)
Georgia - not a color I'd wear, but on her it looked wonderful
Washington - yuck!

I didn't watch the swimsuit portion (I was watching RW/RR Challenge at the time) but I was really liking Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and Oregon going into the Top 5.

After finding out who were the Top 5 (and I would've picked 3 out of the 5 :) ) I *really* wanted Miss North Carolina to win....I loved her answer to the informal questions and she just looked like she was having fun out there. I also liked Tennessee and agreed that Oklahoma seemed out of her element in those questions.

So bummed that Missouri won (but I think that's just because I didn't like the dress, because she looked beautiful in the first dress and the swimsuit portion of the program) and that NC finished as 2rd runner up...I would've put Oklahoma as 4th runner up before Tennessee, but oh well.

Bri, when did Kelsey say that comment? She's *definitely* a smart girl! :)

AGDee 04-13-2004 07:33 AM

Tennessee's smile was her demise. After she held it for a while, she started looking evil. She needs to practice on that!

Alabama won fear factor! I was rooting for Michigan of course, but Alabama was great too.

Agree that some of those women were too thin. Ribs poking out aren't attractive. They shouldn't all have to wear the same swim suit either. Some of them also had pelvic bones sticking out because the bottoms were too short for them.

Agree that OK was the cutest but was lacking maturity.. again, she was only 19 and some of the women were in their mid-20's.

I had the same thoughts about Washington's dress, but I liked SCs dress.. she pulled it off well. What surprised me was SCs hair. It was like that even in the casual shots. Wonder if she would have done better with softer, flowing hair than the up-do she had.

Exactly what I was thinking. I didn't even think the majority of the Top Ten were attractive after seeing the swimsuit competition. They all looked like they were in desperate need of a cheeseburger. The only one who looked remotely healthy was Miss South Carolina.

about miss washington's dress, i said it looks like something i could find at Wet Seal. i wanted tennessee to win so bad. i was happy that missouri won, but could she have picked a different dress? i was really surprised to see that didnt hurt her chances. but alot of people actually liked it so oh well.
