she has little to no talent. i've felt that way since she first appeared with her sister.

she's riding off of jessica. if she wasn't a simpson, she never would have had an album or a tv show.

As much as Ashlee is a dorkus maximus for doing this, I think SNL is just as much at fault. They're the ones who booked her and I'm sure were aware that she would be lip-syncing. Their standards of quality for musical guests have gone into the toilet.

it was weird last night

because i remember saying to my friend: "i have never heard ashlee simpson sing this song this well live before."

and low and behold.....she was lip-syncing the whole time

Yeah, she does not sound so good live. I remember hearing her on either the Ryan Seacrest Show or the MTV Video Awards Pre-Show (can't remember which one) and I was thinking to myself, "Wow...she sucks."
She's sings from her throat instead of her diaphragm (I use to do professional singing so I pick up on these things quicker) and it would make me cringe just listening to her because I knew the strain she was putting on her vocal cords. What do you know? While watching the Ashlee Simpson show, she had to go to the doctor because she had damaged her vocal cords so badly!

Is that why she's so "breathy"? Both she and Jessica are like that, a lot of breath, not so much sound. But I like Jess better than Ashlee. Pieces just seems so whiney to me. IDK.

Yes. They both sing from their throats. The difference being that Jessica can actually sing. :)

Actually, Jessica doesn't always sing from her throat...just went she hits those high notes which is even worse for your voice. You can hear the strain in her voice in "Angels". It's almost painful to listen to.

If she keeps doing that, she won't have a voice in another 10 years.

and did it look to anyone else like they guitar players were laughing at her/the situation??? it looks like they want to laugh/crack a smile so bad, but they don't. they were professional, she was not. i agree with the statement that if she was't jessica's sister, no one would give her the time of day.

Yeah...the sad thing is...almost EVERYONE does it.
