My kids got valentine chocolates and cards from hubby and I. My hubby got me a gift card to Dillard's and a bouquet of 1 dozen red roses and half a dozen lillies! I watched the kids play soccer and visited my mom in the hospital. Now I'm watching Spongebob :)

I LOVE lilies.

Lol, did you ever find out what happened to her?

Never found out why she freaked out at the Valentine's party; we actually only dated for a week or two after that. I caught her having lunch with her ex-boyfriend three straight days, so we had a talk and she dumped me. The following Valentine's she left me a message on my voicemail calling me the love of her life, telling me that it was the best Valentine's Day of her life, and asking for forgiveness. Absolutely hilarious.

No one could top this guy. If people can win at life, he loses as life. FAIL. I actually ran away and through the town his college was in, my college was 3 hours away so I ended up going back to him.

Took me three more months to dump that loser.

We ended up having a good day despite the rain!

Dan and I woke up pretty late and made brunch. We hung out for a bit, then strolled around downtown Santa Cruz. Then we had hot chocolate at Borders (I read cook books, he read a survival guide then the newspaper...lol). We cooked a pizza later and watched a weird ass movie that neither of us like. (Michael Clayton)

Oh oh and he made me this cute scrapbook/picture album thing! He cut and glued it and everything.

I didn't have anything better to do on Valentine's Day and ended up picking up some take-out from a place down the street.

While I was ordering, the guy asked me if I wanted the signature green onion topping on my meal. I declined. Then he thought better of it and commented that it was a smart choice since it was Valentine's Day and all. I laughed and said that there wasn't anyone I was trying to impress, I just didn't want the onions. We laughed about it and then I jokingly asked him if he wanted to be my valentine.

I sat down on the side and waited for my order. Then, when it was ready, he handed me my meal and a paper heart he had folded for me. Awww...that was really sweet. :o

.....Kelly :)

Haha...awkward Valentine stories...KSigRC will probably remember this one...

One of my college girlfriends (actually, the one directly before I started dating my current wife) went with me to a fraternity Valentine's date party. For some unknown reason she freaked out at the date party and ran out of the house, crying hysterically. One of my buddies tried to chase after her for me but she was too quick.

When he got back to the house, he said "Sorry buddy, I couldn't catch her - on the plus side, she was wearing heels, so maybe she fell somewhere along the way!"

Obviously, our relationship didn't last much longer, haha.

This was actually awesome - the short version definitely doesn't do it justice, but yeah, that girl was all sorts of crazy.

I believe the end to this particular date party story involved you and I at like 5am, and the only alcohol in the house being a handle of Jack . . and the only mixer was cranberry juice. God.
