i also forgot to mention that in coconut grove, fl there are lions and a quatrefoil fountain, and for some reason a lot of the houses around our campus have them all over the place, it makes us all smile when we are driving by.

My chapter had a chapter consultant with us this past weekend and Saturday afternoon, we took her shopping for lack of anything better to do. She found the cutest black and white blazer in a random store we found, and wound up getting it. Why? It was covered in quatrefoils. :-D!

Can you please try to remember the name of the store? Maybe you can get an item number? Are their clothes available online?!

I wish I could remember the name of it! I'm not sure if it was a chain, probably not in all honesty, so their clothes probably are not available online :-\

I found a quatrefoil in the most amazing place - framing an ancestor's tintype! It's in one of those folding boxes that men carried with him to battles during the War Between the States, and we're trying to nail down exactly which ancestor it is. We have it narrowed down to two - but we've decided to take it to a photo restoration place to see if there are marks behind it. We do not, however, want the frame to be destroyed. You can somewhat see the at least the frame here:


What amazes me is that she has to be either my g-great-grandmother on either the Union OR the Confederate side! Either way, her husband served with honor during the War. And, her granddaughter (or -in-law) would be the grandmother I most resemble.

there were quatrefoils all ovre the ceiling where we had Carnation Ball this year! it was like it was meant to be! :)
