I love that line - that was too funny when I read it. Must be all the good drugs I'm on to keep the sinus infection away...
I know what you mean about her lying to them, and I think that she realized the cheapness of the whole thing when she was trying to explain it to them, BUT, I was referring more to the family's horrible need to control her. They weren't expressing as much concern, in my opinion, as they were saying "you didn't get our permission to do this" -- and as for Melanie saying she felt left out, hell - she chose not to do anything with them. That wasn't Randi's fault. And Pat - as long as his Sierra Nevada beer kept coming, he was pretty much okay with treating Randi like dirt.
Like I said before - I dunno, because my family, as messed up as they can be, they would support me. It was like when I told my mom I was moving in with my then boyfriend (now husband) -- she said "I don't approve, and you were raised better, but, we also raised you to make your own decisions, and to have your own life" -- which was totally cool with me. She never said "no, you can't do that" because she knew that I was an adult and could make my own choices.
Awww - now I have to wait for "Playing it straight" because I think that looks hilarious. I don't have any desire to watch Forever Eden. The previews look like "Survivor" meets "Temptation Island" -- I don't watch either show, but I think that they all look stupid.
As a side note - I did flip to Fear Factor for a nano-second last night - I about threw up -- eating LIVE grasshoppers! I couldn't believe PETA didn't wage a war. /hijack.
