When I opened my food, I asked him, "Did you p*** off one of the staff members?" He asked me why. I held up my biscuit, which was missing a piece. Since the remnants were not in my box, I can only presume that (a) the person who filled the order accidentally broke it with the tongs while handling it or (b) someone took a bite out of it (and yes, the missing piece looked like a bite!). So I obviously didn't eat the biscuit.

This same KFC has ended up serving burned-up corn on the cob and shortchanging me out of a chicken wing (I had ordered a 3 pc. and my husband didn't notice).

Ewww.

more KFC mess

I used to work at KFC while in high school and I remember one day when we didn't have any chicken. We didn't run out. We just didn't have it at all that day. All we had were hot wings, chicken pot pies, and deserts. I worked the drive-thru, so it was funny to hear people's reactions after hearing "Welcome to KFC, we are out of chicken today."

Burger King

I just saw this thread and was cracking up. I have a Burger King story to add:

Awhile back, I drove up to the local BK and ordered a Whopper Meal. I took it back to my office to eat it, and opened the burger only to find that there was NO MEAT inside. The receipt said "whopper" so I know they heard me correctly.

I went back over there (in the rain!) and when I showed the meatless burger to the gal at the counter, she replied, "Well, you need to be MORE SPECIFIC when you order!" And I said, "Okay, what should I have said? GIVE ME A WHOPPER, make sure it comes with MEAT and a BUN..."

(This was before they were even serving the "vegetarian" and "low carb" versions of the Whopper.)

This is a little side note, but does anyone think White Castle's is SLOOOOOOOOOWWWW! I mean with all those people working there wouldn't you think they would have food ready?? Anyways, at the White Castle by my grandmother's house (da hood) there is a sign that says: "Beware of Pedestrians." Now, has anyone ever seen a sign like this? Now, granted, the drive thru area is frequented by those who decided to walk directly IN FRONT of the cars in the drive thru (homeless people, hypes,losers)....which is why I assume they put the sign there....but it just makes me ponder everytime I see it. My grandmother doesn't understand why I think think the sign is so funny.

And don't let me go INSIDE the store where you REALLY have to beware of the pedestrians. The homeless people will wait til you order, come in your face as soon as you get your change and ask for some. <---That's how you look, surprised, b/c it just feels weird saying "no" as you're putting your money back in your pocket....

As I was reading these stories laughing I decided to add my own. One day I was driving to McDonalds to order some food and all they has is meat and cheese. They had no bread, no fries, no sauce, not even apple pies. I still to this day wonder how they stayed opened for a whole day. The Burger King near my house had a sign up saying they had no burgers and only fish sandwiches. One would think that if you are a burger place then you would make sure had your product. Then another time at subway they ran out of bread and chesse. I wonder who does the inventory for these places/

This happened to my husband a few weeks ago. We went out of our way to patronize a co-worker's Subway franchise. When we got home, my husband's sub had the lettuce and mayonnaise, but no meat. We had to drive ALLL the way back to the shop and the staff (our servers had already left for the day) prepared to make him a new sub. As it turned out, there had been a misunderstanding -- the previous shift had put the wrong meat in the oven, so even if they hadn't forgotten it, my husband still would have received the wrong order. I joked to him that the sandwich was doomed from Jump St. :D

And that my friends, is why I go to Bellacinos. I'm tired of Subway. Ever since I tasted their grinders, I will not even touch a sub. Firehouse is good too, but Bellacinos is better.

HOT FRIES, dang it. I want HOT FRIES!

The people at the McDonalds drive thru HATE ME because I will not hesitate to send fries back if that are not steaming hot.

It's my expectation that they should not be trying to shove cold fries off on me in the first place. Also, I will NOT move my car and park on the side while I wait for you to cook me some fresh fries. They should have been hot in the first place. Someone who works at a fast food place told me that the reason they ask people to move and park on the side is because they're performance ratings are based on the timers that time how long someone is at the drive thru window.

LMBO @ the inside out burger. I once got a burger, got home only to find it was missing the meat.(McDonalds). But I can't get on my "high horse" because I have also paid at the drive-thru (same McDonald's some months earlier) and driven off without the order. I got home and was like "dayum, was I that preoccupied or was I that stoopid (that day)?"

anyway, I sheepishly drove back (cause ain't NO WAY you can play that off), and homegirl in the window was like  here you go!.

ROFLMBO! This thread is tooo much!

(prayerfull, one way to guarantee hot fries is to ask for 'no salt', that way they have to prepare them right then. :p )

I was trying to order a small pizza from Pizza Hut once.

When I called, they said that they were out of small pizza crusts. I said "okay, let me have a medium pizza then." They were out of those too.

I went to Popeyes just yesterday. They had run out of legs AND thighs. http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/tired.gif

When he got there, they were out of chicken, but had fish! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif Chicken...fish... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif

As I recounted this story to some friends this past weekend, they too had tales to tell. Someone told of a Burger King that ran out of Whoppers. I suppose those two for one specials were too much for them to handle.

Someone else told about being the last car in a drive-thru and the restaurant closed before he could place his order. He drove to the window to ask if they could take his order since he was the only car not served, and they said no because they were closing.

So, does anyone else have a story to share?

OMG, me and my HS sweetie went to Taco Bell to order some food and they told us they were out of beef. I asked them how in the hell were they out of beef when like 3/4 of what they serve has beef in it??!! So then my boo asked if we could get something free since we came there and we were going to get something to eat there (TB was the only place open at that time of night). They said no, but gave us free drinks after I told them that it was bad business for them to be telling people that they were out of beef and that I would start talking to my friends who worked at Mickey D's and Wendy's to talk to their managers about staying open later.

Also, HC during the hottest days of the summer, McDonald's ALWAYS runs out of ice cream, lemonade, and shakes?
