That pretty much sums it up! Well said! |
tickledpink, I just read your post where you said you used to say "skaburp". I have never heard that before in my life, but I crack up everytime I say it http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif . I'll have to add that one to my vocabulary. |
ROTFL!!! You guys are so funny! I'm glad y'all contributed to this thread.

Onyx03: I STILL have my easy bake oven! Without the accesories of course (pans, etc). PinkCashmere: You were supposed to use a 100 watt bulb, not 10. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif My cakes came out good.
OH - What about "The Greatest American Hero", "Bossom Buddies" and "Phoenix"? Remember Taylor Dayne "Tell It To My Heart"? I was a Lisa Lisa fan and I LOVED the "Jets". "You Got It All" is STILL my jam. Brings back memories of me prentending to sing it to my Junior High School crush.....in front of my mirror with my hairbrush. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about..... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif ------------------ Sincerity, Loyalty, Unity Sigma Lambda Upsilon: Hasta La Muerte! OK, now I know I wasn't the only one who listened to New Edition! Candy Girl was my JAM!!!
Other songs on heavy rotation at our house: Super Freak- Rick James The Men All Pause- Klymaxx Computer Love- Zapp and Roger Radio-L.L. Cool J (b4 the buffness http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif) Did anybody else do the Cabbage Patch and Wop as much as me? I just knew I was going to marry Michael Jackson(that was somewhere between the 1st and 3rd nose job). Those highwater pants and sweater vests just did something for me http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif !! I snacked on pickles, Grippos, and Lemon Heads. Washed it all down with a big ole glass of Big Red or Grape Faygo! Did anybody wear those jeans that had the leather, jewels, suede on the front of the legs? I could say more, but most of my memories have been mentioned. Man, I LOVE this thread!! [This message has been edited by dIVYne3 (edited June 18, 2000).] |
Okay I never had an easy bake oven. I had an Holly Hobby oven, dont even act like you dont know who Holly Hobby was. Then I had Fresh N Fancy. Remember we could make our own lipstick and cologne. Hmph! My lipstick was always clumpy! I had a Pink Panther bike. And no bike was complete with out a basket with little flowers on it and a horn. Just to let everyone know ---I was coming through. It's a good thing too, 'cause stearing straight was my weakness. Remember playing those silly hand games like... That's the way, uh huh uh huh, I like it, uh huh uh huh! And Ut oh Sergio, Sergio Valente, Sergio Valente jeans. ooooohhhhh and remember when the only name brand jeans you wore were french toast and Gold diggers! Now if you didn't have Gold diggers or Osh Kosh you were not cool!! Now who remembers doing cheers? What I'd be first in line talking about " Shake shake shake that booty, My name is Nikki and I'm shaking my booty, " Or Hollywood goes swingin', Or The Charlie Brown. My name is Nikki and as you see I do the Charlie Brown so viciously....." Dang! I'm old. And it hit me one day when I asked some child in my Accounting class if she remembered Private Benjamin ( the tv show). She was like ----who? -----Then I had the nerve to ask her about the Sonny N Cher show. Talk about Not a clue!
