Back in my day, we had to stop wearing the pink catsuits. The polyester was flammable and everytime we went near a DZ lamp one of our initiates would go up in flames! We got stuck wearing large turtle shells. Not pretty....

We wear a Mardi Gras mask, since one of our founder's was from New Orleans, and red underwear with Panda Bears on the but, and Mardi Gras beads with roses on them. That's all. We also take pictures and post them on our web page for purchase of only $19.99 per party pics package. That money goes to buy the beer we drink after initiation is over. LOL.

In 1873 at the Lewis School for Women in Oxford, MS on a cold December 12 night. When I power walk I pass by the Historial Marker all of the time. I love to read it. I love the history of Delta Gamma and of course all GLO's and my own, AOII!

However, the Ole Miss chapter was not founded until later on because sororities were closed down in the early 1920s. I think they came back in either 1927 or 1937, I forget. Or I might be totally wrong :)
