KD is pretty strong in the South.

I actually get the impression that KD or Tri Delt will have an easier time of things because they have more Carolina chapters to help out -- but I think Pi Phi would do just fine if they got it too.

I think all three GLO's will give great presentations! I can't wait to see them! My thought right off the batt is that KD and DDD have a slight advantage in that they presented last year with DG being the third group. Obviously DG was picked, but KD and Tri-Delt have both checked back with NCSU's Greek Life to see how we were doing, etc. They were just making sure that Greek Life knew they were still interested.

In any case though, I'm totally open to all three groups and can't wait to give ya'll the latest!! :D

Well, I definately understand that we may be a bit behind in terms of not having presented the first time, and in number of chapters, but all three NC Pi Phi chapters are very strong, and Chapel Hill and Duke are literally just down the road. Plus, the triangle area alum club (Raleigh-Chapel Hill-Durham) is quite strong. So I can assure you that there would be adequate support! Of course I will be happy for any of the groups, but I have faith that our presentation team will put forth a tremendous effort... Anyway good luck to all and to the NC Panhel members faced with such a difficult decision between such strong groups!

so will Pi Phi be bringing gold arrows to shoot at PNMs, or will y'all be sticking with the traditional azure blue catsuits for the presentation?

LOL... I for one will not be wearing a catsuit.

Then again, I'm not on the presentation team!

We're bringing the golden angel to shoot gold arrows at the PNMs and we've upgraded to wine and blue catsuits (the wine is a bit more slimming). Oh but wait! I've said too much!

hehe :p

For real.

(33girl goes to her map to see which school "down the road" has a KD, Tri-Delt or Pi Phi chapter - so she can send the national a note telling them someone doesn't think they're worthy of presenting  )

(33girl apologizes to AXO Alum for biting her style)

Christopher Columbus, please don't tell me you think that unless alumnae are watching over chapters and making all their decisions the girls are on a slow boat to hell. They're not.

I am sure that NCSU is smart enough to consider differences between the campuses like campus culture, student composition (i.e. rich, poor, etc) and percentage of students who are Greek.

Carnegie-Mellon and Pitt are literally on top of each other and I've never heard "well, since Pitt's XYZ chapter sucks, CMU's must suck too." Proximity is a very small factor, as has been pointed out many times on here.

Obviously or the group would not have submitted a proposal in the first place.

No, a HANDBASKET. Get it straight.

NC State actually has an EXCELLENT relationship between the students/student gov't/faculty. I have no doubt that they made a VERY educated decision here.

I just think it's malicious to write that when it could hurt their chaces of being picked. I know for a fact that the IFC Advisor at NCSU reads these boards - if he passes it on to the Panhellenic Advisor then it could hurt whatever group you are talking about. I have confidence in our Panhellenic to make wise decisions about who to invite to colonized. I'm sure they have done their homework, so why bring up things like this?

I agree. Go Wolfpack!

HAHAHA As a former member of student "dressup" government... This is hilarious :)

Is KA closing? There house is so much better than the Old SAM house. (Assuming, the new group will get a house)

When is the next meeting?

HotDamnImAPhiMu 02-14-2004 01:47 PM

Guess we'll have to disagree there.... from one former member of the student gov't to another!
