This is my very first visit to greekchat, and I just happened upon your message. First of all, congratulations on crossing the burning sands! I must say, there IS a lot of love in this room, and I ain't mad at y'all. I just really want to make one point here. There is a comment you made on one of your posts regarding rolling up your sleeves and getting to work. I applaud you! I personally know of many Greeks (in ALL the organizations) who have crossed into Greekdom and almost immediately forgotten the REAL purpose of the organizations: TO WORK. I hope you follow your own message and be about the business of your illustrious organization. I'm sure, as some of your sorors have mentioned, that you will make your beloved sorority proud. Again, congratulations, sisterfriend!!

I just recently stumbled across this board and have been absolutely enthralled by it ever since. Reading your post made me cry. I have been striving to get to AKA land for four years now and my desire is greater than it was in the beginning. It is the feeling that you communicated in your message that keeps me focused on making Alpha Kappa Alpha mine someday. I wish you the best of luck and serve her well.
