did anyone see them on oprah the other day? i thought she looked pretty, but she is still dense. oprah seemed a little annoyed with her. i watched the after show, as well and oprah asked her how can she just buy stuff without looking at the price tag. she then went on this tangent about how she remembers where she came from and is so cost-concious....poor jessica...she is such an idiot!

SAN DIEGO - Pop star Jessica Simpson (news) said she won't be confusing tuna and chicken any time soon, especially after dropping in on a Chicken of the Sea company staff meeting.

On a recent episode of her MTV reality show "Newlyweds," Simpson didn't know if she was having chicken or fish while she was eating "Chicken of the Sea" tuna. Company officials heard about the gaffe and aimed to set Simpson straight.

"We wanted to bring her down and make sure she understood the difference, and told her the story of how the brand name originated," Chicken of the Sea senior vice president of marketing Don George said Monday. He said he would love to talk with Simpson about her becoming a company spokeswoman.

Simpson said she's good-natured about the flak she's received for the mistake, as well as for other mix-ups on the show — like thinking buffalo wings are made of buffalo meat.

"I think it's fun. I've made a mess up on national television and everyone has been giving me a hard time about it, but it's better just to sit back and laugh at yourself," she said. "I do have my ditzy moments."

"Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" airs at 10:30 p.m. EST on MTV

i was thinking the EXACT same thing...and how she was giving clothes away cause she had already worn them ONCE. it was a trip!

jessica and nick will be in atlanta this thursday with q-100 radio station. the dj's are excited b/c they know the tv camera's will be there. this morning, the djs were saying they have met jessica simpson before and believe her dumb blonde routine is just an act.

If you've seen her new music video (WITH YOU), you will see that she is clearly not as stupid as we thought. Let me straighten that up, she may be dumb as a bag of rocks, but her marketing machine cannot be rivaled. They knew what they were doing when they put Jessica and her husband on the television. The new video spotlights the chicken of the sea thing, the buffalo wing thing, the stinky arsh thing, the boobs in the way of golfing thing, the clothes in the middle of the floor thing, etc.; it was genious. If I were younger, I might actually have gotten so caught up that I would have bought the CD (or at least burned it) because I like the show so much.

People are digging the money is no object thing that comes with being a star and I am actually intrigued by the relationship between Nick and Jessica because he seems like he would like someone brighter than she is, but he seems to enjoy making sure that she is on the right page with the world.

I liked the last episode and I think that Nick is really sweet and generous. She is lucky to have him because someone else might have taken advantage of her -- using her up and spitting her out -- but he is gaining something from this too. I wouldn't have known his name if he weren't married to her. He was one of four and she has also stood alone (in her own little crazy mixed up world -- but alone nonetheless).

Somehow I doubt that Ms. Simpson-Lahey is as stupid as she tries to appear to be. I have a friend who is the exact same way and I think that she too has more sense than she lets on. Some people just like to seem helpless as well as clueless. Why?....I don't know.

I really liked the season finale. Nick was very nice planning all of that for them. However, he should have pimp slapped the reporter for telling Jessica the secret. I also thought it was funny at the end when he looks in the fridge and goes "Here's some chicken Jess" and pulls out a can of Chicken by the Sea. :D

I read in the newspaper or magazine that Jessica isn't really that dumb. Not that she isn't dumb, but she and her dad state that she is just playing into the "dumb blond" act for MTV and in general for popularity. Her "dumbness" is overwhelming.

Huge tangent

I am sometimes guilty of this and I'm not ashamed to say it. For one, I like to maintain a sense of mystery about myself. I don't want anyone thinking that they know what I'm about to do or that they can predict my next move. If I act like I don't know, then how can anyone else.

Second, and more importantly, it's easier for me sometimes. I can get Boyfriend to do things for me that simply don't want to do by acting like I can't do it. I can get a perfect stranger, of either sex, to do something for me by acting like a can't do it.

Why? Nick made sure to tell all involved that it was a surprise -- he should have told the reporter that is a surprise; he should have known that the reporter was going to tell everything he knew so to be on the safe side, he should have said in private thanks for coming over and we are going to have to keep this short since I have a surprise weekend planned for her -- please don't tell her because she is going to be so surprised. It is all about CYA.

nick and jessica are in atlanta today, and a local radio station was interviewing them. i think they are hilarious. nick did admit that part of him likes jessica's ditsy/non-independent side because he can be more of a man and show her what to do. one caller was ragging on him b/c she said that the only reason nick married jessica was b/c he wanted to control her....

that wasn't very nice.

I knew it. I didn't hear the interview on Q100, but I knew that he enjoyed showing her things and explaining things that she doesn't understand . . . like a parent does a child. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...e_allesgut.gif
