Mostly, I call it soda, but if I'm out somewhere I call the drink by name (Pepsi, Coke, etc).
|
COKE. I call everything coke.
What kinda coke do you want? Ummm...Dr Pepper please :p |
I would say soda or coke. My husband who is from Chicago calls it pop.
|
Coke or soda!
And people out here think I am weird |
soda- coke is short for coca cola dammit
|
Just as long as you don't say "sody warter"
|
I say soda, but one of my sisters (who is from Ohio) calls it pop and now it doesn't even phase me to hear it both ways. But I do say Pop Tabs, like during our philanthropy we are collecting "pop tabs".
|
When YALL going growed up???
Ya oder a Coke- Coca Cola Order a Pepsi! Order the U-Cola-Not Order Seven Up or Sprite! What is A Pibb or Dr. Pepper? How do you order a Big Orange or a Grape (Nehi), Cream Soda, Root Beer? Ya bunch of Hillbilly Red Necks, dont mater whether from Da North or South/ East or West! Now, Sasparilla in my day was good! Hot tired and sweaty, damn, can not have beetan it!:D Room Temp of course!:p |
we say SODA or TONIC here...
;) |
I'm from western PA, so it was always pop to me. I thought soda was just an ingredient in pop or the stuff you put in the back of the fridge to keep from smelling the month-old pizza. Until I moved to Massachusetts where everyone says "soda," and you drink water from a "bubbler"!
And to address the "Coke is a brand" issue...My husband calls all paper towels Bounties. So he spills his milk and says, "Could you grab me a Bounty?" It drives me crazy! Erica |
I've said it once and I'll say it again: "Pop" is a SOUND, not a drink. I drink soda...And yes, I live in Indiana, where its Pop (can't help that I'm a native North Easterner and Soda will be forever embedded in my brain). :D
|
So am I the only one to call it cola?
Am I that weird? |
