on pref night we use the song "ill stand by you" by the pretenders. every time i hear that song it bring tears to my eyes.

As a chapter adviser I am going to re-introduce a song/chant for bid day that goes like this ...

Give our regards to Alphas, Remember us to Tri-Sig too,
Tell all the girls at Delta Zeta that they won't be seeing you!
Tell them you've been yearning to join the best sorority, PHI MU!!!
Tell them hello and then good-bye saying you have gone PHI MU!!!

We do "Phi Mu Lady" & "Are You a Phi Mu" during rush.

Does anyone know of a site that offers tunes to some of our soungs? The U of Wisc-River Falls site no longer seems to link to the files. Please help.

I want to lean some of the chants you have, that my chapter doesn't know. Is anyone interested in making a skype "date" lol so we can meet ur girls and have new songs taught to us via web??? my AIM is metsladyluck. Just im me anytime :)

I can't stand this song. But then my chapter has a limited amount of songs we actually use (which has been expanding lately, thankfully). This is not one of the songs we use, so I only have to listen to it before I skip the track on the CD! :D

Haha, yeah that's why it's the only one left in my songbook that no one else has bothered to mention. I'm pretty sure that every sorority under the sun uses a variation of it. And I can definitely sympathize with the limited cheers! We're not the most musically inclined, so our girls like to keep it simple. I had push so hard during recruitment to use different ones and at sorority awards I was granted the "cheerleader/spirit" award. They presented me pom poms and everything. Oh dear.

Our "rival" sorority sang this after Bid Day one year and I thought it was the most absolutely disrespectful thing they could ever have done... and they disrespected us alot.

I don't think you should ever use another sorority's name in your songs. We have so many other fun songs to sing instead of sounding petty and using their names.

We sang "Never Say Goodbye" at pref.
