A really big snow storm is heading our way and it's supposed to hit late tonight (when my shift's just starting) or early tomorrow morning. I hope the principal at my son's school actually heed what the weatherman says this time!! A big storm hit 2 weeks ago and like that morning the weatherman said that it was going to snow and that it would get worse as the day progresses. HC by 10:00 that morning, you couldn't see 2 feet in front of you :eek:?? THEN they get on TV telling parents that they can come and get their children?? I could have kept my child at home for all of that!! :mad:

The roads are bad too in greensboro & I called in stayin home! State of emergency & I must slide to work? ummmm no. Then my boss tried to make it seem like nothing sayin if I'm gonna come in before spring! ...the news telling folks to stay home. I do have an suv, but no tire I know of grips ICE! I work in a dental office...I doubt patients were gonna risk life & limb to get their braces tightened!:o

I wish I worked for your call center then cause Progress Energy ain't about to close our call center down....... daggone electricity, you'd think folks would learn to live without it!

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiii I almost called DUKE POWER because my heat would not go higher than 74. I had to go OL SCHOOL NEGRO and turn the oven on and prop the door open just to get some heat satisfaction, but I just noticed about an hour ago that the heat is on 76.

It's snowing right now, but guess what? I'm still at work!! I'm jealous of all of you that didn't have to budge this morning. I didn't want to budge. NO FAIR! My after school job is cancelled though. I guess I should be happy about that one.

I'm staring out the window watching it snow. Ain't nothing canceled - they just tell you to start out an hour early. :mad:

I guess my class tonite is still on because I haven't gotten an email from my professor. :(

I am so happy afternoon classes at my University were canceled. I hope there is no class tomorrow! I need a break!

It is really bad in my neck of the woods we have freezing rain, sleet and snow. It is suppose to really freeze over the roads are going to be so bad! More of a reason to call off work tomorrow.

*sigh* You know its serious when my job (Budweiser) is closed. I mean we had to work when we had the hurricane so I figured I'd have to work today. Well I got a call at 6 AM this morning saying odnt worry about it and matter fact dont worry bout tomorrow either!

My boss realised this morning that maybe it really is icy on those back roads...sooo she called me this morning & said, don't come in today, I want you to be safe! EEEEEEE!!!! I'm so happy! lol:D :D :D

Nothing but ice and snow here!!! School's been closed for my child and me since yesterday!! :D All of us have been sitting around in our PJ's and slippers since they said that school was closed!! They can be closed tomorrow for mine, too!!!:D

My daughter has a snow day (and is spending time with her vacationing daddy) and classes have been cancelled at my school for today.
