Exactly! I believe in God, but this is exactly why I don't believe in Organized religion. Like Karl Marx said, "religion is the opiate of the masses" So go ahead Fred, condemn me to hell. I was condemend by fanatical relatives the day I was born for simply being a female (because you know I am responsible for original sin). Bring it on Fred, I can take it. I have heard it all. I get irritated when people try to push their beliefifs on me. Fred, it's your right to dislike GLO's but it is not your right to Judge us. God will do that when our time comes, so until then, BACK OFF!! |
All religious talk aside (though I do have BOUNDLESS opinions on that - I grew up Catholic in the Bible Belt), I think it is interesting that Fred has posted several times since his "last post." Obviously, though he claims he is through with this discussion, he continues to check this board to see how the discussion is going.
Fred, you need to get out more. |
1) SAE's patron goddess is Minerva.
2) Iconoclastic is none other than Fred Hatchett! Apparently being banned once wasn't good enough for him. Hey John: Can you get rid of this yahoo again for us? Thanks. |

Iconoclastic.... an interesting userid....
You do of course realise that you have named yourself after a movement from the 8th Century? One that may have started with good intentions, ultimately became known for it's fanatical intolerance. See the iconoclasts believed that people were putting or giving too much faith to Icons (religious pieces of art such as paintings, murals, statues, illuminated books, saints relics, and holy objects) so they set out to destroy it all (sort of a religious anarchist movement). While your choice of names may have been approrate if you consider GLOs to be flase images that people worship as if they were God (note the distinction). However you insistance that the bible is the true source of information and guidance goes against the Icoloclastic principle; for you see they believed that the words could be changed, manipulated, or corrupted (hence they burned a lot of bibles).... and in fact they did ascribe to the belief that they "holy word" had been corrupted during the formation of the Church in Rome. So your blind belief in scripture is in fact an affront to even the Iconoclastic movement........ |
