I have heard of this mystical cat. I was watching videos on youtube with my lil, who is dating a Sinfonian. There was a guy wearing a PMA jacket and on the back was the face of a black cat and below it said MYSTIC CAT. I asked her what "Mystic Cat" was and she said "I don't know. I've asked my boyfriend about it and he gets really mad. I think it's some big secret Phi Mu Alpha thing."

heh.

Jewel: None set by International, but we tend to use pearls, diamonds, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds depending on the degree held

Flower: Yellow rose

Mascot: None set by international, although we have a stuffed teddy bear named Kix that makes his way around the country visiting different conventions

Symbols: Torch and Strawberry

Philanthropy: Breast cancer research is our biggest goal but we have tons of other things that we do in our communities

Well said sis!! Adding my 31 cents.

I'm a pearl girl myself. Although we don't have an official mascot I know bumblebees and teddy bears are pretty common. Also, I met a few sisters that claim the "grand phi" as an unofficial symbol because it's in our badge.

As for all the other informal colors, I believe it's just because brown and mode aren't very nice to wear, although I will admit I got several brown sweaters for Christmas. :)

Our chapter uses black and pink for our local colors, but I've also heard of people using blue & yellow for their chapters.
