Talk about living a dream, my brother is amazed by the fact that his life and career are still going strong and bringing in cash. His music still gets to people and there isn't a day that goes by when I hear one of his songs I get all nostalgic or sometimes even get my dance on.

This thread coming back reminds me of the Chappelle show skit abour Tupac's newest song. I HOLLERED!

Our folks will never let that man die, I swear. And neither will his record company as long as there is profit to be made. I hope his Mom at least sees some of it.

If I am not mistaken Afeni has control over his masters so anything that is released has to be approved by her first. Which also means that she gets a nice chunk of change.

I still can't believe it's been a decade since we lost this brother. Like someone else said before, I have a newfound respect for Tupac. Rest in Peace.

I'll have to check it out later today. I can't believe it's been 10 years since I was chilling at home and had to turn on the radio to believe my cousin's phone call to report his death. When I heard two TuPac songs back to back, I knew it was true.

I miss his devotion to the truth.

Seems like it was yesterday. I can remember when Kym Sellers announced it on the radio. :(

Oh dayum at Kym Sellers. I was on my way to Ohio State for the Fall Icebreaker. I almost burned myself curling my hair when I heard it on the TV.:(

I know it sounds crazy to some people, but the deaths of TuPac and Biggie are two monumental events in our generation. A lot of us know exactly what we were doing and where we were when we got the news. It's not the Space Challenger or the death of a JFK or even 9/11, but those deaths spoke to thousands, if not millions, of people.

Any more people still remember what they were doing 10 years ago today?

I was coming home and heard "How Do You Want It". I remember wondering how Pac was doing.

A few minutes later, I turned on Headline News and saw that he had passed. :(

I was working at Barnes & Noble on 77th and Broadway in NYC. It was raining that day. I remember it very well.

I love Tupac. And yes I still have a Tupac poster. I remember I was 14 and my friend HT called. He was known for playing pranks and he called to tell me Tupac passed. I called him a liar but then found out it was true. I cried for hours like I had lost a best friend. RIP Tupac.
