Florida rocks :)

awesome awesome awesome band from Orlando.

if you like Sister Hazel, R.E.M., etc. type music you will like this.

They are just now starting to get some recogntion - just signed w/a major label. They spent the last few years touring a lot and worked their way up the food chain - opening for the opening band for the opening band for Barenaked Ladies, opening for Third Eye Blind in local shows, opening for Creed nationwide, to finally headlining their own shows. They had a song on "Smallville" last season and two of the band members had a cameo! My brother and I are practically groupies - we've seen so many of their shows and the band recognizes us now. They just filmed their video at a concert we were at this summer - I might end up on MTV!

good hard rock band, also from Orlando. there's two mp3 songs you can download. both very very good.

Chuck Carrier - now in a band called "Marathon"

- used to play in Gainesville all the time, opened for Sister Hazel a lot. Now apparently in Atlanta? haven't heard from them in awhile. Released a solo cd when i was in undergrad called "Better Things Than I" which was fabulous - he could hold his own against John Mayer any day.

Chuck Nash Band Used to be called Kingpins. another good rock band. Used to play in Gainesville a lot, now mainly in Jacksonville/St. Augustine.

Yes, they are still together for those of you that know of them.

Oh yeah and the Gufs.

Someday Blaine will be one.

really? i've only heard good things thus far though i've yet to see him live myself...maybe it was just an off night? shrug

anyway..another new one to add who i just saw last night:

some girls - lead by juliana hatfield (who is just the cutest thing ever) they were awesome..good girl rock..

Amen to The Hip! My all-time favourite band.

I really like Canadian Hip Hop like the Rascalz and Swollen Members.

There's a rapper from Halifax, Classified that I really like.

Cornell...I think he's the same age I am so that would mean he was initiated in 1998.

And he is awesome...

Imperial Teen
bis
Zog
Holly Golightly

Before they broke up :( the Dismemberment Plan would use our house as their place when they were in town. One of our sisters is from DC and befriended them. There were a lot of local articles about the D-Plan sleeping in a sorority house. They were nice guys.

Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise.

I am bumping this thread because Kill Hannah is an unbelievable band, and you all will rock out to them the first time you hear them.

I suggest 'Kennedy' and 'Unwanted.'
