BP! Oh somebody started on BP!
Why come some dude sent me a note, and when I clicked on his page he has a picture of himself WITH A GUN on it??? I just quietly blocked him from my list, and was happy he didn't live in my neighborhood- not such a good thing when people can find out what you look like on the net! ANd how come every time I try to log onto the site, it directs me to BP Dating and I would really be sitting there FOREVER rating those FUGLY ASS PICTURES when I just want to see if anyone sent me a note! And how come that BP messaging function- messages take forever to load, and you never know if the person got them. And all the CHICKENS on that site....truly disgraceful! |

Oh let's not even go there!! I had to watch the last episode w/ my head down half the time! You have the oppurtunity of a LIFETIME and you going to "da club???". What's really going on people. But I don't think there is one black person in the States who has not wanted to be swallowed up by the gracious earth b/c of some embarassing, no class, non-self respecting "figga". I also hate it when you are standing behind said persons & everyone just assumes b/c you're all black that everyone's together. I don't assume that 10 white people in a line are related, why do we all have to be? |
Bump..because of the recent fights/brawls at the games and awards.

ohh wait
My sista-n-law little girl was in the hospital with the flu. They asked her not to feed the baby anything solid until they can test her. Well needless to say, she feed her some greens, cornbread, chicken, yams, and rice and gravy. so when the doctor and nurses(white) came in he was mad. He was like didn't we say don't feed her..She replied"We'll she was hungry and you know how us colored folks is, we go feed our chillings."
I could have died. I wanted the floor to open up and suck me in.:o I was in the grocery store making groceries(yes MAKING:p ) and this woman and and her 2 lil girlswere fussing about some cerals. (Keep in mind it was thanksgiving holiday so u know it was packed with all kinds of people.) So she was like i'm not getting that. So the kids started to go crazy...she took of her shoe and statred to yell"I told yall lil bi***hes i wouldn't get them damn cerals. Now f**k with me if you want. I don't mind acting like a nigga in this store. Mannnnnnnnnn i was sooooooooo ashamed i just left my grocerys and left the store... |

I'm reading this book by called Authentically Black (drawing a blank on the authors name) but he talks about how we don't like to air our dirty laundry in front of white folks. Like we are supposed to not act a certain way in public for fear of reinforcing stereotypes. I wonder if other ethnic groups have this feeling.

I'm of the first school of thought -- plenty of ignorant people are talking/acting in the name of all Jews, and I want the world to know that they don't speak for me. |
I just had to vent about this...
I know this topic is so old but I had to bring it back because this was just too much!
Last year I took a public speaking class and I was the only "one of us" in the class and this football player. He was not a regular football player, they normally don't come to class, don't do any work, and that is pretty much what everyone was use to. This guy gained everyone's respect because he would come to class and actually contribute so I was proud of him UNTIL this boy (I had to call him a boy) gave a speech on how Detroit was one of the most dangerous cities in the U.S. (He is from Detroit) And he had the ignorance to be proud of that and he even said that the reason the city was so violent was because of all of the BLACK people in Detroit!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost died right there in that class!!! Mind you, we are in one of the whitest cities in America (Springfield, MO) and he just confirmed all of the stereotypes! I still cannot look him in the eye to this day! |
BET AWARDS 2004
I don't know if anyone saw the 04 BET AWARDS but there were a few comments that made me cringe.
I think the comments were made by Tisha Campbell, LisaRaye, and Nicole Ari Parker on two or three separate occasions. "Don't let the light skin fool you" "Y'all gone bring the dark skin out of me" WTF!?! I don't recall the other if there was another one. But when I heard the first comment i was like...okay. When I heard another one I was really offended. Just pray for "us". |
FLAVA FLAV
Oh, my I watched Strange Love for the first time today and I am just too embarrassed at his behavior!

HC his piano ditty (Your love is so electrifying....every time I touch youuuuuuu....) is still ringing in my head 12 hours later? Why was I so embarassed when the Italian woman sitting next to him asked him in Italian (an interpreter was with her) what his age was (his reply: 44), she said he acted like he was 13 and he said "Thank you". Again, what Exquisite5 said. |
