I am the 814th member of Alpha Alpha chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity at the University of Oklahoma, initiated on April 6, 1984. Due to a typo that was overlooked and never corrected when the initiation paperwork was sent to National Headquarters, the official initiation date was April 20, 1984.

Alpha Alpha #1 was Scott Preston Squyres, one of the founding members of Delta Kappa Rho local fraternity. He and twenty-four others (only 16 appear on the original charter) were initiated on May 19, 1923.

Before the chapter went inactive in 2000, over 900 have been initiated at Alpha Alpha chapter. Alpha Sigma Phi does not keep track of initiates since its founding.

I do not know if Delta Upsilon assigns an initiate number on the International Level. I am the 774th initiate of the Texas Chapter of Delta Upsilon.

So far my sorority (Alpha Chapter) is a local trying to expand. I am sister #4, but it will always be #4 when we go national!

Our chapter doesn't officially keep track, but I tried to figure it out and I think I'm something like 165.

Thanks for that explanation: I didn't know what my member number meant beyond a long string of numbers. What I find interesting is that my AXiD chapter # is 13, whereas my chapter, Xi, is the 14th letter in the Greek alphabet...which means that AXiD skipped a letter in naming the chapters?
As for Phi Sigma Pi, I'm Gamma Upsilon 199.

This thread got me thinking...I don't know what number Tri Delta considers me.
I was the third person to sign the book, but that was because 3 of us had games/meets the next day when everyone else was initiated.
I should be number 30 something actually...I think.
I guess I'll have to wait and get my badge this summer from EO to find out

And AlphaSigOU, I have a similar typo story for you. I got initiated into Order of Omega on April 1st, 2003. My membership certificate says I was initiated on March something, 2002. I'm pretty excited that they wanted me before I was even Greek. :)

well, i'm pretty sure y'all have guessed this, but...

i'm the 361st initiate into the Kappa Sigma chapter of Sigma Nu.

I dont' believe that SN orders initiates in national order, and i'm sure ktsnake can verify that.

Your badge # should be in the order your were initiated, I think. But keep me posted.

My # is 1130, so I was the 1,130th member initiated into the Alpha Alpha chapter. But your actual membership # has your chapter 3 digit chapter # in front of it. You use that to get onto the private side of the webpage.
