I, for one, am not assuming. I am going by what was reported which is, after all, what we have to go by in this discussion. For all I know, there may be a Hispanics Against Nacho Deliciousness (HAND) organization which is planning to picket Taco Bell and a sports stadium near you even as we write.

Alas, (or maybe fortunately for SOME), we don't yet have protests being organized for things that are dumb.

Perhaps she meant that she chooses to not freak out at every supposed slight, therefore saving herself from assdom.

And perhaps the Theta chapter postponed their planned fundraiser because they felt the negative publicity generated from the poster would have a negative affect on said fundraiser. Maybe they are checking to see if serving Nachos will offend anyone.

I would hope that if a similar situation arises in future and something offends someone, that person would weigh the consequences of his/her hurt feelings vs. the event and the charity it will benefit and think seriously if the offense is so aggregious as to cause the event to be cancelled.

The needs of the many(CASA) should outweigh the needs of the few.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one thinking this. You want people to look beyond the color of your skin, but yet you judge white people on the color of their skin. Ending racism comes with respect and understanding. No one should be judged by the color of their skin. But to ask someone not to judge you on the color of your skin, but you judge them on the color of their skin. That's so hypocritical.
