TriSigma is the first NPC to have a chapter outside of North America; they have a chapter at the University of Maryland-Mannheim, Germany campus. I should also point out that TriSigma is the first NPC to set up not 1, but 2 chapters in Alaska. (I believe that some NPHC's have a presence in Alaska too.) You're right, Canada is a "foreign" country, although I have to say, Canada is maybe not considered to be quite as "sexy" ;) as a European country. The first NPC to set up "shop" in Canada was Kappa Alpha Theta - Sigma chapter (1887-1941) at the University of Toronto. As that chapter is now closed, the oldest chapter in Canada is now Alpha Phi - Xi chapter, 1906 at the University of Toronto. |

I am intrigued by the Phi Sigma Sigma sphinx-I think it is so neat and I like the badge that Brookinleu has on the link
As far as badges I like that I am most familiar with: theta Chi O DZ I guess I never really thought of how attractive AXO badge is-thanks to all your votes, though my needs some cleaning |
I just figured I'd put in my 2 cents...I like the Tri Delta and Gamma Phi badges best (besides my own) but I think the ones in "shapes" (key, kite, etc) are really unique as well. I'd love to see pics of the NPHC badges---I've never seen any of them.
A note about the Phi Mu badge...it comes in many combinations..gold edges, scrolled, pearls, rubies, and a variety of stones. Mine is the very "bare bones" badge with only gold edges (no gems) and I think I actually prefer it over the ones with pearls. |
Out of the Mouths of Babes...
My daughters were looking at Brooklineu's badge picture just now and just thought I'd tell everyone that my 4 year old wants to be a Chi Omega when she grows up because she says the badge is pretty and my 6 year old wants to be a Phi Sig because the badge has blue eyes just like she does :)
Both great organizations, and I've heard worse reasons for wanting to join a GLO! |
Well thanks, Tracy, we'll be glad to have her!!!!!!
I love our badge because it instantly identifies you as a Chi O with the stacked letters.....but my favorite of the others is by far Delta Gamma.....I just love the anchor. |

That is funny! :D And cute! Both great organizations, and I've heard worse reasons for wanting to join a GLO! As in "I wanna join, like a sorority, so I can like, meet guys 'n stuff?" Quote:
Thanks Erika... You can see the DG letters on the Anchor Badge too...but you'd have to get so close to the point of where you're "perving" on the other person. LOL (That's what they call it in Australia...when you "checking" someone out and looking at their, err.... body attributes, the Aussies call this "perving"! ;) |

Delta Gamma
Chi Omega Alpha Phi Kappa Kappa Gamma Pi Beta Phi and Delta Delta Delta :D |
Well... although I am partial to Phi Mu's... especially with the pearls :) ... I have always LOVED Delta Gamma's badge.

I have always loved my mother's Phi Mu badge...

my turn!
My turn to weigh in!
I always thought the AOII pin was really pretty. Especially the ones with the "chased" letter 'O'. Kappa Alpha Theta also has a nice one. Kappa Kappa Gamma's key is unique yet well designed. Three that I think deserve more recognition are: Sigma Kappa's maroon enameled triangle with the *scrolled* edge. The regular one isn't that impressive, but the scrolled edge badge is very well done. Alpha Xi Delta's Quill is very elegant. For some reason, I seem to be partical to the unjewled version. Alpha Phi's unjeweled badge has a simple attractiveness to it. An honorable mention goes to Phi Mu for the quatrefoil design. I've seen them on eBay and they have some very nice jewel combinations. Of course, I could probably list them all with their respective qualities! :) ......Kelly :) |
I was so excited to read so many people like our badge, I think it is so elegant looking.
Anyway, my favorites are Chi-O, Theta, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Kappa. But all of them are gorgeous and unique. It's not what it looks like but what it symbolizes and that it in self makes them all beautiful. |
Ok, well first off thanks for everyone who chose the Arrow!! :) I love my badge. There is just something sweet and simple about it!
Anyway, if I can't choose Pi Phi I would choose Kappa and AXO. I guess I just have a preference for the "thing" badges. Here's a thought we haven't discussed. What about pledge pins? They can be equally unique and interesting! I haven't seen a lot of pledge pins online, and I'm curious what each sorority uses. We have the Beta pin which is the head of the arrow with the Beta on it. Just a thought of another discussion... |
