Our new recruitment chair isn't as forthcoming with results as the old one - so far, I have one Kappa at TX A&M.

I have three friends (2 Freshwomen, 1 transfer) who are going through recruitment at my Alma Mater. I look forward to seeing where they end up! I'm going to write their rush stories, once rush ends.

So sad that I am unable to write recs for them.

My rec girl at Belmont went Phi Mu!

I wrote my VERY FIRST REC this year (kind of surprising I haven't done so earlier, but whatever). It was for a young woman attending Alabama (I mean, I might as well start with the biggest recruitment in the country), who is now a new member of Alpha Gamma Delta. Roll tide!

So is one of mine. Hmm...imagine that. ;)

My other rec at Alabama went Gamma Phi Beta.

Sad to announce that youngest's best friend did not go through FR at Toledo. Not sure why but I really hope she considers sorority life in the future. Same goes for the ones I wrote for WKU this year. Holding out for this winter at Ohio State though!

Never got any response from the one at Alabama and didn't see her name on any list I encountered.

Youngest was chosen to join the Singing Men of Ohio, so do not expect him to consider Fraternity life this fall. Maybe in the future but so far he's happy at school!

However, the ex-GF went Chi Omega and from what I hear is very happy with her bid!

My entire list of recommendations at the various schools is complete! Below is the final count of where all my girls went.

University of Alabama (5)-(2) went KAQ, (1) went DG, and (2) did not show up on the bid list.
University of Mississippi-Ole Miss (3)- (2) went FM, and (1) went ADP
Georgia College and State University (1)-ADP
Oklahoma State University (1)- GFB
Auburn University (1)- CW
UGA (3)-ACW, CW, and AOP

Total = 14

One of my past coworkers ended up accepting her bid for Phi Mu at our COB event this weekend! She's super sweet and I'm excited to have her as my sister! :)

Jill1228 03-09-2015 07:41 AM

Congrats to her
