Wait, there actually schools where they have to wear the same uniform twice??? How sad for them. What do their fans do with no uniform combinations to speculate on and critique before and after the game..

On a tangent - I wasn't a fan of these even though they are pretty darn close to what they wore back in the 80's when I was in school (probably explains why I don't care for them - they pretty much stank up the field at that point and it confirms my conviction that I am a football jinx).

Daughter stayed at the same hotel as the team this weekend (Hilton downtown) and rode up the elevator with these very two (among others). Listening to her on the phone you would have thought she had just ridden up an elevator with a rapper, a pop star, and a member of the Jersey Shore cast. She was pee her pants excited. Then her BF almost got an arm or shoulder caught in the elevator and Kenjon, who was standing just behind them at the time, noticed which TOTALLY made BF's day.

Hey, you scored 34 points. Granted most of those came in the 3rd quarter when we were playing the cheerleaders and the band, but still! ;).

PS - You really needed Michael Dyer.

This made me laugh. Thanks, because Red Wolves fans needed a laugh after that game.

^^^As I recall, your Red Wolves had a great season last year, and you've certainly got a coach with a proven track record. I'm sure you'll bounce back from that game easily and have plenty of future wins to erase the pain.

I work with De'Anthony Thomas' cousin. His dad, who's a chef, stops by all the time. Super nice family.
Expect De'Anthony to be a Heisman finalist.

Having said that ...

GO SOONERS!

I rode in an elevator in Chicago with some of the Boston Celtics once. I have never felt so short in all my life. One of the coaches was also on board and he was sternly reminding them of the time they needed to be back...like a parent reminding their teenager about curfew. I found that highly amusing.

AXOmom 09-06-2012 05:36 PM

^^^Ha-ha - I bet that was really effective. Exactly what was supposed to happen if they weren't back, I wonder? Traded to the Clippers or the Kings? Even worse - traded to my team - the Blazers. That might have scared them since I think at this point that's a basketball career-ender.

OMG!! I can't believe my ULM Warhawks just beat Arkansas! What an amazing ending to a crazy ass game! First we beat Bama in 2007, now Arkansas...watch out Auburn, we're looking at you!

OLLLLDD MAN FOOTBALL!!!

I can breath now!!

GO DAWGS!

IndianaSigKap 09-09-2012 12:06 AM

The Hoosiers are in a 5-way tie for the Big Ten overall lead and tied with Ohio State on top of the leaders division. The Mayans might be right...

*Let me enjoy the moment, because it won't last long, maybe just 6 more days.

I can't believe it either from the Razorback side. :( I was concerned about the Hogs season before this and now I am really worried. There are some scary head injuries to the starting quarterback and the cornerback. The game was stopped for almost 10 minutes before they took the corner back off the field, rarely a good sign.

On the bright side, GO LSU!:D

Yesterday was a really bad day for injuries...the Arkansas players and the Tulane player. Walker's injury was downright scary.

I've had a great football weekend so far. Loved the LSU game, Mettenberger looked great. (If only the receivers would catch the ball!) and the defense looks great as usual! ULM took down their second SEC team. Now I actually get to see the Saints on TV all the way in PHX!

Our Indiana starting QB broke two different bones in his leg and is out for the season. It was a really bad day for injuries, the Tulane injury was downright scary. I hope he makes a full recovery.

The Indiana game was one of very few that UMass had a chance to win this season. That clearly wasn't communicated to the team. Either that or they were just awed by playing in Gillette Stadium. This is going to be a LONG season. Welcome to the FBS, UMass.... I liked you better in the FCS - though the band will get a few more minutes of being nationally televised now, which they certainly deserve.
