LOL-I wondered about "OWL chapter" too and thought it might refer to the owl mascot. OLD makes so much more sense.

After basically figuring out that this kid is the same one from the other forum and looking at his previous posts from there...the OP shouldn't even be thinking about transferring his fraternity membership

No, that was her typo of AEPi.

Oh, I'm that case us and Temple are all I can think of as we both have the Owl as a mascot

Almost? Just curious, which fraternity or sorority don't allow the chapter a vote? For Alpha Phi Omega, I've seen everything from chapters that flat don't allow transferring in to chapters that make sure the potential transfer goes through the chapter history part of the pledge program to those that don't have much more than having the potential transfer introduce themselves at Business meetings...

Not every organization allows chapters a vote. You transfer your membership through NHQ/IHQ and that's that. Whether the chapter likes you and accepts you is a different story but your membership is still officially transferred

My worst one is actually on my phone. If I'm rushing and I type "te" for "the," I get "ye." Last week, I asked my sister to meet me at "ye glass dodo" instead of "the glass doors." :p

33girl, you're in AEPhi? The post you responded to mentioned AEPhi.

And here I thought I'd forgotten something from new member education. I'm pretty sure they told us our mascot was the giraffe, not the owl... :p

<threaddrift>Also, autocorrect on smartphones = ugh. The other day, I tried to email someone named Jay, and my iPhone autocorrected it to Kay. I need to figure out how to disable it.</threaddrift>

Don't know. I just know that absolute statements on things like this are typically a bad idea, so I was allowing for the possibility of organizations that don't give the chapter a vote.
