Thats cool!! Yeah those 3.8s arent to big on the power, the newer(99+ V6s) arent too bad though.
I think those look better without the spoiler. My brother has a 97 Cobra and we took the spoiler off and it looked much better... ALOT more aggressive looking. They also look pretty mean with a set of 17" wheels, and about a 2" drop.

Do you want an actual roll bar or the kind that they have on the Salleen converts?? Basically a "Black Loop". I have half of the roll bar in mine, didnt get to finish before I left. But I need that for racing. Im so excited about getting mine back it hurts!! I sold my old 88 LX alittle over a year ago and had to get my kicks from my brothers car when I could. They are addicting, thats for sure!!

We bought it used-it was a rent car for 1 year. Yes, I guess it is a 3.8, it is about as fast as a Pinto. I am going to redo the interior next year and re-paint. Good luck with your car and rebuilding it. I saw a convertible LX (probably late 80's early 90's model) the other day and it was soooooo nice-they must take very good care of it or just had it re-painted/new interior as it looked like they just drove it off the car lot that day. I need to get a roll bar for mine.

Hmmmmm.....what does CC want?

Actually, most of the stuff I can think of is for other people.

--For Beth, that she does well in her dental school interview (out of almost 900 applicants, she was one of 150 chosen for interview)
--For Vicki, that her trip to Pittsburg(h?) goes well over break, and that she can get an A in Aesthetics & the Arts for her second 4.0 (our International Exective Officers buy crested rings for consec. 4.0)
--For Brent, that his job continues to go well, and that he is able to return to school next year
--For Dunker, that she can get better that that C in Accounting
--For my chapter, that we can beat All-Women's GPA this semester
--For my (real) sister Liz, that her pregnancy goes well, and that her husband passes his Veterenary Board Exams with flying colors
--For my (other real) sister Mary, that her family moves into their new house smoothly
--For my Mom, that her diabetes remains stable-she's been doing well so far
--For my Dad, that whatever is wrong with him gets better and stays better

And now I guess some stuff for me...

--That I can somehow pull off my second semester of 4.0 as well (funny, I try to get both of them in 18-hour semesters...glutton for punishment...did it once, I guess I can do it again)
--That my car makes it a little longer before she dies (a 1988 Tercel-the only car I've ever had-seen me through a LOT and I'm not ready to say goodbye yet:( )
--On that note, I'd like a Jetta (like so many of us!)-Dark Metallic Blue or a metallic champagne, or metallic lavender, but I doubt they make the last two :D
--I guess I can handle some new clothes, but I feel like the ones I have already take a backseat to tshirts...I'm so bad
--Some quality, classic jewelery-pearls (so I don't always borrow Mom's), real diamond studs (my CZ just doesn't cut it), a nice watch
--an eyeglass wardrobe (I like to wear glasses instead of contacts-hate hearing all the bashing on here, like they're for lazy slobs or something....I think they are distinctive, and provide visual interest on my face---I'd like several pairs for different levels of formality)
--A variety of perfume-Ralph, Allure, ummmmmm there's some other wonderful stuff that I want, but can't think of now
--some horribly expensive designer shoes, just to see what all the fuss is about. The most expensive pair of shoes I've ever owned has been a pair of $120 Saucony running shoes (I got them on sale for 89) that I wore for over two years before I ruined them at work...who knows how long they would have lasted
--The rest of my dangles for my badge-I need 6 more, and can't bring myself to pay $17 each for them

I guess that is all.

Sooooooooooo get shopping everyone! PM me for my mailing address.
--:D ;)

oh, crazzyleggedsigma-you so crazy! Don't be a stranger. Wow 4.0 for 2 semesters with 18 hrs-you go girl!!!!

Beef, I would like an actual roll bar so if I roll over maybe, just maybe I wouldn't kick the bucket. I saw a special on Saleen's and I was drooling :p . Those cars are the bomb.

Beef 12-04-2001 11:15 AM

Yeah those Saleens are pretty nice, but I would take a Roush Stage 3 over a Saleen.

I used to work there, I NEVER got sick of seening those things drive by. That dark (laser)red looks absolutly EVIL on those cars in person.

2. The Victoria's Secret PJ's that I find cute.
3. A pair of jeans that actually fits.
4. MONEY.
5. SOMEONE to make up their mind.
6. SLEEP.
7. MONEY.
8. 2002 GMC Envoy.
9. Palm Pilot.

aggieAXO 12-04-2001 12:35 PM

Beef,

is that bar on the yellow mustang actually functional or just for looks?

Beef 12-04-2001 12:40 PM

Thats purely for looks. Heres a link for some actual roll bars. These guys are pretty good, nice qaulity parts.

http://maximummotorsports.com/autopower.html

Im guessing you would probably want something like that Street Roll Bar with out the harness mounts. that will leave full access to the back seat without crawling over bars....

aggieAXO 12-04-2001 12:49 PM

What is DOM seamless tubing? PM me as I am sure we are taking up too much apce on this thread.

Hmmm, christmas--I can't believe it's only 3 weeks away. It's not even cold here--Dec 4 and it was 62 WTF??? Hello it is Nebraska...

Anyway,

For an early gift from Santa definetly a win by LSU over Tennesee this weekend so my Huskers get into the Rose Bowl and kick the crap out of Miami.

Hmm...well a lot of snow at Copper Mountain wouldn't be bad--going skiing on Jan 2nd there.

That Courtney Love stop being such a bitch and let Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic get finished with putting together a Nirvana Box Set (why don't I think this will happen  )
Oh, and several (so I can keep my options open--I want a girl but not an exclusive relationship) girls that I could date-that'd be pleasant.

That my grandma make it through the likely chemo treatmetn and recover 100% from her recently discovered lymphoma. This one is definetly the most important

Finally for gifts I could actually open...
A Cell phone
Gift Card to Hollister (sister store to Abercrombie but in my opinion cooler)
CD's from Bad Religion, Jimi Hendrix, Tenacious D and the Strokes.
And several expensive Beta clothing items I've had my eyes on since parents day.

Oh, and of course that I and all my pledge brothers actually do get initiated the first week of 2nd semester, it would really suck to lose someone.

Me too, sweetie! I absolutely hope all of my GC'ers get *everything* their Christmas lists! Especially wishes for the health of their loved ones...

juniorgrrl 12-05-2001 02:39 PM

Dear Santa,

Sorry this letter is so late, but Ive been so busy lately, I haven't had time to think about what I wanted for Christmas. But here's my list:

128MB SmartMedia card for my digital camera
Rio Portable MP3 Player
New pair of Gap jeans
A pair of New Balance 804 shoes

Also, could you steer Josh to www.Tiffanys.com or www.mignonfaget.com when he's looking for my present? I've had my eye on the floating heart necklace and the red beans and rice bracelet for quite a while now.

And, Santa, I know this is mean, but could you see to it that my Finance teacher gets salmonella from undercooked turkey on Christmas and spends a day or two on the toilet? He assigned us a project that's due the day of the final, and not only is that a violation of the rules, its just plain mean!

Love,
Aimee
