To me it was just "okay". I've never been a Rocky Horror fan.

I did enjoy seeing John Stamos sing though.

I've never seen The Rocky Horrow Show, but Glee made me want to watch it. Liked this episode!

I loved it, and it brought back lots of memories.

Tulip, it's no fun watching it unless you go to a theater where the audience is actively involved and participatory.

So I've heard, unfortunately, it's not in theatres anywhere around here. Definately keeping a eye out if I'm in London or New York next year!

You can also get the DVD have a bunch of friends over and print out the responses back that way....

At a convention I attend every year, my group did it at our rented vacation house...it was sort of fun, I never saw the entire movie before....and I found out why....but I do love the music...

As an FYI: everyone can go look for the Youtube user Gleeloverpizza and find all the songs from this season

I've been disappointed with this season of Glee. I feel like the storyline is going nowhere fast, and the musical numbers (with the exception of Rocky Horror) are not that great. Blah. I hope they improve in the next couple of episodes or I'll probably lose interest.

I'm kind of feeling that way too. I have almost every song from season 1, but this season I haven't bought anything from the last two episodes. I wasn't impressed. I too hope things get better.

I think that some of the parts and songs would have been better cast to different people, because some of the typecasting was a bit goofy. I think John Stamos as Frank N Furter would have been amazing, and though Sue was funny as the criminologist Artie could have done the part, or even Principal Figgins. I also would have enjoyed some gender bending with Santana and Britney as Columbia & Eddie and had Rachel not be Janet because it was, well, trite.

It would have also been fun to have all the other random characters from the show as extra Transylvanians for a giant Time Warp but that wouldn't have worked with making it a private musical. Brad was killer as Riff Raff, and Mercedes could have also been a good Magenta. A Tina Mike pairing for Janet & Brad would have been another twist I'd have liked, or the return of Puck as Rocky or Eddie with a Quinn as Columbia.

The local independent theatre is having Rocky Horror this weekend and it is $10 which includes a kit for involvement, I may go if my friends or classmates want to but have never had the experience.

Yes, you really need to go to a midnight showing at a local theatre to "get" RHPS. My husband is still a "virgin" and I need to take him to a show. Although I have a feeling that few venues could compare to my "first time" in The Valley.

I liked the musical numbers with the exception of Mercedes doing ST. I felt like that was a copout by the network. Puck would have been an amazing Franknfurter.

I agree about Mercedus doing ST. I hadn't thought of Puck doing that, but it would have been awesome.

And yes, to experience RHPS, it has to be in a theater at a midnight showing.

Here's a clip from next week's show!!! It's my favorite song so far...

I was "eh" with Rocky Horror - but I'm not a big fan of RHPS so I didn't expect to like it.

Next week's episode (from what victoriana posted, and the preview on hulu) seems like it could be getting back to the larger plot line which is promising.

victoriana 11-05-2010 04:55 PM

Yeah, I definitely agree. I was reading up on my Perez and apparently Kristin Chenoweth's next guest appearance won't be until the Winter/Spring half of the season. This fall Gwenyth Paltrow is supposed to guest star in the episode after next. Charice is supposedly coming back in that episode too. Susan Boyle will guest star in a Christmas special.. some say as a cafeteria lady! Things are looking up and I really hope that Glee gets back to its former glory :)

Kurt is so happy in that video.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

Some dialogue going around for the episode.
Quote:

KURT/BLAINE DIALOGUE FROM 'NEVER BEEN KISSED'

Kurt: Excuse me, could I ask you a question? I’m new at this school.
Blaine: My name’s [Blaine].
Kurt: [Kurt]. What exactly is going on?
Blaine: The [Warblers]. Every now and then they have an impromptu performance in the dining hall. It pretty much shuts down the whole school for a little bit.
Kurt: Wait, so the Glee club here’s sort of cool?
Blaine: Are you kidding? The [Warblers] are like rock stars. Come on, I know a shortcut.
Kurt: I stick out like a sore thumb.
Blaine: Well just wear your jacket next time, new kid. You’ll fit right in. Now if you’ll excuse me… *song*

——-

Blaine: Latte? This is Wes and David.
Kurt: I have to say, it’s very civilized for you to invite me for coffee before beating me up for spying.
Warbler: We’re not gonna beat you up. We thought you were such a terrible spy, it was sort of endearing.
Blaine: Which made me think spying wasn’t really the reason you came.
Kurt: Can I ask you guys a question? You guys are all gay?
Blaine: No. I mean, I am, but these two both have girlfriends.
Warbler: This isn’t a gay school, we just have a zero tolerance for harassment policy. Everybody gets treated the same no matter what they are. It’s pretty simple.
Blaine: Would you guys excuse us?
*Wes and David leave*
Blaine: I take it you’re having trouble at school?
Kurt: I’m the only person at my school who’s out of the closet, and I try to be strong about it but there’s this Neanderthal who’s made it his mission to make my life a living hell. Nobody even notices. It’s like background noise at this point.
Blaine: I know what you mean. I was taunted at my old school and it pissed me off. I even complained to the faculty and they were sympathetic and all, but nobody really understood. They were like, “Hey, I mean, if you’re gay you’re life’s just supposed to be miserable or something. Sorry. Nothing we can do.” To me, gays are sort of the last group that it’s okay to make fun of. So I came here… simple as that. So you have two options. I mean, I’d love to invite you to enroll here, but I know that Dalton’s tuition is sort of steep and, you know, it’s not an option for everyone. Or you can refuse to be the victim. Prejudice is ignorance, [Kurt]. I can guarantee you that the guy that’s bothering you, for some reason, you scare the hell out of him. But it’s a perfect time to teach him a lesson.
Kurt: How?
Blaine: Stand up to him! Call him out! I ran, [Kurt]. I didn’t stand up. I let those bullies chase me away. And I really, really regret it.
