Edit to my last post: I've been asked to help, particularly on Friday for Pref + other help after. YAY! I'll only be able to help on Friday, but I'm very excited about it.

UC Santa Cruz has 22 new Kappas! I believe they will COB for a few more because both Panehellenic groups are under total after this recruitment. I'm pretty sure quota was 20, but I was told both groups have 22 NMs, so I dunno if that's true.

I will be helping out at Santa Clara starting tonight and a few more times until pref which is Monday.

That's so exciting - have fun! :D

I forgot to share! Kappa at UCSC has 22 new members (quota 22), and Santa Clara has either 53 or 56. Quota at Santa Clara was 38.

I was told 38, but it could have changed as they were doing bid-matching. I dunno.

Bumping for deferred recruitments!

I was on the University of San Diego campus for Bid Day today and Eta Gamma took 54 new members, making them the largest chapter on campus! I'm not sure how much quota was but I'm pretty sure they made or surpassed it.

Their bid day shirts were adorable. I didn't take any pics though because I didn't want to be the creepy alum! :p

Lol, I can sometimes be the creepy alumna but usually only at my own chapter.

Eta Mu at UC Santa Cruz had informal recruitment, and they now have 10 new members! I can't believe they're on Iota Class now!! (I'm Alpha Class...)

Most of the chapter:

They had a Harry Potter themed Bid Day and played Quidditch on the field!

Oh my gosh, those Harry Potter shirts are adorable!

Denison's quota was 26 and all chapters made at least quota. I will try to get an exact number tomorrow when I go over (if the weather holds up)

I posted these in the Bid Day pics thread too, but here are a few pictures of Eta Epsilon chapter's Spring 2011 new members! :)

"Greeting committee" with new members. JHU went to a new system of bid distribution this year and it seems to have worked really well. In the past, PNMs met individually with Panhellenic to receive their bids and had several hours to make a decision before deciding whether or not to attend bid night. While it allowed for plenty of consideration, a) it was nearly impossible to prevent PNMs from keeping strict silence with sorority members throughout the day and b) many PNMs psyched themselves out and declined their bids because of tent talk. This year they had all the PNMs open their bids at the same time and run to the chapters' greeting committees (which were a maximum of 20 sisters per chapter since it's not THAT big a room!), which were waiting around the edge of the room. As far as I know not too many PNMs declined and I'm sure it was a fun/crazy scene! Wish I could have been there!
