BWAH. I think if the Big Sailboat and the Big Kite got together and went whipping down the river that would be awesome.

(maybe that should go in the "mergers" thread)

It definitely should.

Perhaps there would be some Big Squirrels and Big Ladybugs (lol I don't know what you call your HQ) riding on the Big Sailboat flying the Big Kite.

Super merger.

So flipping what? I know a few people who have done similar things. It may not be the road to getting a multi-million dollar contract with Ford Modeling, but for local talent, it's JUST FINE. Calm yourself down.

Congrats Jess and Little Jess! Don't let the haters get you down.

As I said, "haters", and not you AlphaFrog. I know that you are trying to navigate this whole process.

I didn't realize that your daughter is five. That is a whole different ballgame. I sort of assumed that she was in her midteens where height is a big factor. At five...she is competing with thousands of cute/gorgeous/relatable little girls for the same job. And catalogue would be the main thing.

I saw that post and had to LOL at it. Several of my higher ups at the Big Sailboat know I post here and couldn't care less.

LMAO!

Would someone be holding a Big Arrow in one hand a Big Trident in the other?

Where are our photoshop peeps when we need them? I am loving the Big Sailboat with all the extras on board.

Update on my process:

I've had one amazing, busy, fantastic, exhausting, epic weekend.

Friday night I auditioned for 12 casting directors from the southeast region, including those who cast for Army Wives and The Vampire Diaries. Then, I ran straight over to the Knight Theatre to sing for The Plants in the Charlotte Symphony's first ever KnightSounds concert, which was sold out.

Saturday morning I reported to my agency at 10am and spoke with the agency director who said he got lots of positive feedback on my audition, including more than one who said "Finally, a redhead who can ACT!". However, that was not the main purpose of my trip... Saturday, I spent the day in a seminar with David Elliott with Buchwald and Associates (BIG deal in NYC and LA). David is agent to Morgan Freeman, Matthew McConaughey, and Howard Stern. I got to sing for him, do a monologue, and give him my headshot. And, going back to the main purpose of this thread, David personally attends the ITS event and vouched for its worthiness (and has no reason or motive either way).

I capped off yesterday with my kids' birthday party, which was costumes + bonfire + hot dogs & smores + pinata which = fun, fun, fun.

I am about to crash, but I am on a high as well. I can't believe this is all happening!

Yay!!! I'm so happy for you. I know how hard it is to break into the industry. I've read your whole thread and it seems like it's been quite the journey (with a few amusing sidetracks from the peanut gallery). I hope it works out for you, it seems like you have a lot of great prospects :)
