No, I'm sure the use of a totally acceptable abbreviation is far more grevious an offense than accidentally screwing a brother's girlfriend. I still call his membership unlikely at best based on the original thread So mostly he's insulting someone else's frat.

LOL.

I guess you already noticed that jflynn bolded Tre1911's use of "frat."

We already know that not everyone understands that "frat" is a totally acceptable use for NPHCs/LGLOs/AGLO/MCGLOs.

There was a missing sarcasm tag in my post. I was agreeing with you ;)

Eta: lol, one of those days

LOL. I edited my post because I caught the sarcasm. I hoped you hadn't caught my original post---fastass!!!!

One of those days, indeed. WE NEED RED LOBSTER!!!!

...well, now I feel like an ass. I'll blame my ignorance on the fact that NPHC is near-nonexistent at my school, and go hide under a rock now.

(guy's still a moron, for what it's worth.)

:) Don't hide under a rock. You can now interact with that which you consider "near-nonexistent," whatever that means.

Haha. It means that we don't have the student base to support NPHC groups at our school, so the ones that we do have are city-wide across the three or four universities in the area. I guess it works for them, but I've never seen a single NPHC letter shirt on campus.

So, they are not necessarily "near-nonexistent." They are city-wide chapters. :)

You have yet to notice members wearing letters on campus but that doesn't mean that NPHCers have not worn letters or identifying symbols on campus. There may be other people who have noticed them because other people know what to look for/what they are seeing.

My standard "no" is now "I'm sorry, I've met someone and am seeing only him now." It seems to bring fewer insults than a simple "No thanks".

I don't go that route because I could say I'm seeing someone but others can see that I've a) obvi still have a profile up and b) have logged on regularly. Mr. "I enjoy long walks to the bed" got the abrupt message, I'm usually gentler than that.

ETA: Wow, I must have been tired. I started this message last night. Aaaand just realized a whole page of responses happened during my slumber. :o

LOL. You have inspired me to log onto PoF and see who my "matches" are.

Most left me weeping for the educational system, but then there's Mr. "I think I'm deep"
Quote:

When did we forget our dreams?
The infinite possibilities that each day holds should stagger the mind.
The sheer number of experiences I could have is uncountable, breathtaking, and I'm sitting here refreshing my inbox.

We live trapped in loops, reliving a few days over and over, and we envision only a few paths laid out ahead of us.
We see the same things each day, respond the same way, we think the same thoughts, every day a slight variation on the last, every moment smoothly following the gentle curves of societal norms.

We act like if we just get through today, tomorrow our dreams will come back to us.

Im as guilty of this as any other, but I'm currently fixing that.
The picture with it though is this skinny guy with his shirt half off. He says he has his Masters but he writes like that college student who took a philosophy class and thinks he's deep. The rest of it is just as bad and trite.

christiangirl 04-23-2011 05:08 PM

I mentally do a spelling and grammar check on anything I read. It's like that one ep of BMW where Shawn took a college philosophy class, give Mr. Feeny the kiss-off, then failed it. This could have been his assignment that we never got to read.

YES. He just doesn't read like someone who has his masters and has gotten over that whole thing.

Interestingly my OKCupid quiver matches are always really well done, it's only the random creepy guys who look at my profile who are weird.

Like the one who told me in chat he wanted to sell his soul. (IDK if I posted about it, he was w-e-i-r-d)
